Leeds considering legal action against Leicester

I would also argue that Leeds not getting promoted actually benefitted them long term. More teams possibly going down, a season to get stronger and they did really well in their season back. 

 

Would they have done that if they got promoted 1st time. 

 

The whole thing is farcical

This will become prevalent now after the burnley ruling.  EPL really has become a total mess and completely uninteresting when money and courts and not the football are what make the headlines.  Quickly falling out of love with english football.

So personally, I don't see why they have a case? Yes, we may have overspent on getting promoted and winning, but Leeds didn't win enough games to come close and they still failed in the playoffs. 

 

Simple fact is, they had a slow start and paid the price for it at the end. We didn't make them lose 4-0 (if my horrendous memory is correct) to QPR, for example

 

 

I mean there are holes in their case (non of your points are going to stand up in court though, you’ve got the play offs instead of automatic so don’t complain 😂 and it’s not our fault you lost games, no but it as our fault we got more points than them  illegally  that’s the whole back bone of the case) 

 

hopefully we get a decent lawyer and give this case the credence it deserves instead of the half arsed lazy job we did of defending the original case as Leeds will be getting paid if we do not,

With these various financial threats/proposed actions from one club against another, why aren't the Premier League/EFL/The FA not looking at themselves to try and improve things across the board?

So genuine question, if Leeds can sue, could the other teams? Why Leeds specifically? Why not all the clubs in the league? As our cheating took points off everyone?

Leeds point will be to say as the third place team it directly stopped them gaining automatic promotion. If they go through with it. 
 

to preempt your next question, teams finishing 7th or being relegated will have a much harder job proving we’ve directly cost them money. Play off places are a non starter really as you’d still need to win games against three superior teams in the league table. 
 

Although if Leeds proceed and win, don’t rule them trying (and failing)  out 😂

But my brain can't get to the fact that, yes they finished 3rd, but Ipswich finished above them fair and square. So they could have e finished 2nd if they won more matches in the league? 

 

If Ipswich did it, why couldn't they win more. It wasn't like Leeds finished 3pts behind us or it was close? We stopped them finishing top, but not 2nd?

Didn't Derby have to settle out of court for Boro for denying them a play-off place when Mel Morris was their chairman?

Yeh, the PL and EFL have created an absolute shit storm with their rulings, hitting the likes of us, Everton and Forest while the big clubs continue to screw the rules untouched. The Burnley thing has opened a can of worms and the whole of English football will implode on itself before too long!

No one has to settle out of court, in a case like a play off place though a settlement can benefit both parties.
