World Cup Final - Spain Vs. Argentina - Sunday 19th July

Argentinians are a weird bunch though aren’t they.

I don’t think there’s another nation in central/southern America with such a weird twisted machismo mentality.

The way they behaved yesterday and I’ve seen Argentine commentators and newspapers basically glossing over it. They all seem to be lapping it up, how they were provoked, hard down by. I think Messi could have stood there picking off the Spanish players one by one as they went up to

collect their medals and it would still be ignored.

Weird as feck, the entire nation.

They have such a loser mentality as a nation (not necessarily in a football sense). Always hard done by, never in the wrong, always acting up for little reason.

Probably the only country I dislike as a collective.

Simeone has the most punchable face in mankind. Really pleasing to see them heartbroken last night.

Also apparently they are the only team to not have a VAR intervention against them despite giving the most fouls away in the whole tournament. I'm sure it's just a coincidence!

I don’t disagree, but they’ve played the most competitive games alongside Spain (not counting the 3rd place game), it’s likely they are going to have committed the most fouls.

If it's about traveling, definitely much closer.

I seem to remember Morocco being a "liberal" and safe Muslim country, but I have no clue as to how really safe it is over there, and how reliable and effective Moroccan police are.

I can say after working in Casablanca… I never ever want to return.

Every moment you’re there, someone is trying to extort money from you.

It certainly didn’t feel safe, nothing is ‘black and white’ and you really need to have your wits about you otherwise you’ll be scammed/robbed/defrauded in some way.

Seems Paredes wasn't sent off at the end (lucky boy if not!) but will certainly face some sort of ban along with others involved - well potentially.

FIFA have concluded their investigation and have found Spain guilty of initiating the violent scenes by beating argentina. As punishment match is to be replied with anrgentina being giving a one goal lead and Spain aren’t allowed out their own half for the first 60 minutes.
