Are people concerned about the BC deal as it might be a way like allegedly Man City of KP or Thai cash going through it to boost revenue or that BC might be washing their own currency through it?

That's what I've always believed is happening.

I don’t think our owners have money to fund anything close to that. We had the opportunity to use many legal loopholes if they actually wanted to inject money (women’s team etc). BC game are doing their own shady nonsense but I doubt it’s being bankrolled by us

Wednesday and Everton took seven months.

Parties will be targeting December

Surely not a chance this takeover gets done by December, at least 4 months will be taken by the EFL and the Football regulator, I’m expecting it to be April/May at the earliest

The agreement of a purchase is realistic by December though. Then let the relevant regulator bodies do what they need.

A deal in principle yes a signed deal no. Who buys a club only to be rejected by the EFL and IFR all 3 elements need to be assured. The IFR delays killed the investment in Derby. Due diligence alone will take 90 days given the complexities of the KP deals.due diligence and EFL test 90 days, IFR license up to 90 days after that so we should be expecting March at the earliest in my mind. This is assuming there are no big aha’s in the due diligence,

You can sign a deal ''subject to'' within an SPA, I've done one recently. The ''subject to'' here will be approval by the football regulator. Any serious buyer will have already engaged with the EFL, you don't need to wait until signed for that anyway.

Here’s hoping for a Christmas to remember getting the Takeover signed sealed delivered and announced with the news also of Rudkin & Top leaving the KP !

That would be nice but I can’t see it happening until next summer there will be a lot to unravel

We can now add Everton to the list of clubs for sale.

To put things into perspective, they’re valued at £366m. Franklin Group are looking for £450.

£225 for a League 1 club?

or

£450m for an established, long serving, never been relegated Premier League club.

No brainer if you’ve got money to spunk around!

That sounds ridiculous

palace have gone on the record this week with a 900m valuation re investment

everton are worth way more than that even with the ground excluded (which it clearly must be)

EDIT:  they are carrying approx £500m debt so that explains the price

I think the no brainer is if you've got money to spunk around, don't do it in football

Sounds like their owners are being quite sensible in deducting the debt levels from everything else which is interesting.

Edit: A quick online search suggests that these figures aren’t correct.
