I don't hate it at all.

 

For the level we've dropped to it seems like a reasonable signing. If it stops BDCR from playing up top on the regs then it's a no brainer.

"Riis is on fire, your defence doesn't need to worry because he'll receive no service" has a lovely ring to it!

If the player is good enough age isnt really a issue ..

Are they really comparable?

Wright had shown pedigree by scoring 15 goals in the top flight and had been with Palace 6 years before his move then 5 in 8

which suggest he was considered hot property, not heading towards his 3rd club in 3 years with his worst mins to goal ratio that suggests a downward trajectory.

 

If it’s the best we can do and the only option we have I hope he does well it’s better to have options than none.

it would be nice to see some headed goals from set pieces something we have lacked for quite a while.

This is a good point but we are in league 1 in case one had forgotten
