Honestly, it's hard to draw too much from last night's game other than the continued powder-puff outcomes of Martin's football. Both teams were at no more than quarter-strength. We dominated when our subs came on (Riis excellent again) but by then Stevenage had substituted nearly everyone resembling a first teamer.

Strongly suspect most other managers at this level would get more out of this squad. Oh, and Martin is a *worm* in the way he avoids the fans at the end of games.

What really annoys me is that we wait for the opposition to get into position before properly attacking so no wonder we have poor shots or so many blocked shots, the tactics allow this to happen.

We have the squad talent now to really hurt teams but because we're so slow in attack it works for the opposition, every game, every team have found defending us too easy.

We don't pass into space as it's so slow. When we do, the player receiving the pass is isolated. In an Enzo system at least 1 midfielder was over lapping to support or to drag a defender out of position. Now, we isolate the player and wonder why they have to either cut back or pass to no one.

I'm really getting frustrated with this system, clearly not working and a good manager will address it. Sadly, it's going to be a continuous issue.

This forum has been. Lamenting this style of play for many years lol. The success of this system is when opposition players are drawn out of position, this should give us a better ratio of players (and presumably in decent positions) in the opposition half. Once this is achieved there is nothing further to gain from passing the ball around in our own half, even if we loft the ball forward then we should have a greater chance of ending up with the ball. During Rodger’s iffy games we would meander around the pitch but had the players to strike a goal ball from distance. Now we need to create passage of play to find easy goals like Enzo ball, but I’ve not seen the strict passages of play they would  lead to goals like under Enzo, so I don’t really know what the plan is. Probably to get the ball out wide but do it so slowly that the build up does not actually generate any advantage.

I didn't watch but saw some serious slander for Kamari Doyle on here last night...but just heard BBCRL and Matt Heath said he was our Man of the Match basically. Is he absolutely miles off it?

As I was leaving there were literally dozens of people applauding the players. OK maybe not boo but what was there to applaud we were woeful.

They are a young team, young players need supporting not booing. Not hard to work out. Players only deserve booing if they arent putting the effort in. Hardly say being hampered by a system was not putting in the effort

We've been awful for this for absolute years. Truly fed up of it. We've 180'd for the worse.

Last nights performance stems from a fundamental selection error from RM, for me.

Why has he not selected Okoli to partner Souttar in this one?

I cannot abide the playing of players out of their preferred position. Last night we have three full backs in the back four, all game, even after sub's were made.

This has a massive knock on affect as to how we, as a team, handle set pieces. We concede a set piece by having Sammy marking their 6'1" striker. Bonkers. Stick a physical centre back on him there, and that outcome is a lot less likely to happen.

Also, if you can't play the likes of Okoli in the fvcking JPT when do you play him! (not in the league games, please, for love of god!). Or, play O'Hora to get the partnership going with Souttar for the league. Breeds confidence.

This falls squarely on the shoulders of Russell Veg Lasso Martin.

We used to call the League Cup the Mickey Mouse Cup. Currently for us it would be the equivalent of the Champions League Trophy

Baffled by how angry some in the away end can be about the jersey mikes.

We need to start winning games. If we can't win at this level, what hope is there?

Haven't you already seen enough?

What would 1 or 2 wins change?

Well two wins in a row with how shit this league is would probably have us in or near the top six. Can't see it happening and the start has been horrific. All I'm saying is if we dont win them both bin him off before it's too late

Fingers 🤞 that when Harborough Town beat Spennymoor Town in FA cup 4th qualifying round a week on Saturday, we draw LCFC away at KP in 1st round proper. That'll be the only time l ever go there again and look forward to showing those muppets how football should be played. No doubt in my mind who would win. Come on you Bees!

But we didn’t waste chances - no matter what you’ve read into the stats. We were simply ineffective at creating them. Apparently, we had 4 shots on target from 70% possession. And I can’t recall any of them or even once thinking we should score. We just passed the ball around on the halfway line, as usual, without once looking threatening. Or maybe i just didn’t notice whilst this turgid nonsense lulled me into clearing emails and googling stuff.

Watched the highlights earlier. Looks like we ought to have got a couple but given it was North Korea TV's highlights I expected there to be a bit more than there was.

It's another 2 conceded from very little as well.

Savage comment on Football Away Days on FB:

With 1300 away fans...

"500 of them only went to tick one of the 92 off their list."

Probably very true. lol

Was partnered with O'Hora at the weekend...

it's just football. I'm as saddened by our demise as anyone, and I think Martin is a total fraud. But I'm trying to change my attitude this season. Rather than dwelling on what we've lost, and what we've become, I simply trying to enjoy it as much as possible. Because it there's no enjoyment, what's the point? I have loads of things I can do with my time.

Even yesterday I was reasonably excited about heading to Stevenage, hoping for the best, expecting something less.

I've also been through enough in life simply to be grateful when I can go to a City match.

Keep your chin up. The clouds will part, eventually.

Great attitude. I'm the same. So many things more important than football. I will watch the team even if they went down further, it's just my team. I hate what's happened and will get worked up sometimes at a game but I don't dwell anymore. Life is shit sometimes and football is a release whatever the result.
