It's closed now and we finished 14th, behind teams with HUGE fanbases like:

Plymouth

Brentford

Gillingham

Brighton

Bristol

Southend

Leeds came top with just under 220 000 entries.

Since we have around 16 000 season ticket holders, each one would need to enter 13.75 times for us to have come top...its not very difficult is it! We should really get organised about this if its done next yer. Takes no time and no effort (computer even saves your information for you).

Yeah it's a pretty lame effort from everyone really!

Oh well at least we won't win back Lee Morris

But if you've done it that many times (i've not done it every day either) and there are plenty of City fans who aren't season ticket holders then surely we could do much better then this!

I reckon he'll be back for a trial next season with a moustache and a different hairstyle, crafty sod.

From SkySports:

"Southampton's summer spending plans have been handed a boost by the news that they have won £250,000 to spend on a new star in a Coca-Cola competition.

The Saints beat Oxford United and Brentford to the windfall, although the other two finalists will pocket £50,000 as well.

***Despite only finishing 18th in the final list of entrants***, with 31,720 fans voting, George Burley's Championship side had the luck of the draw and were awarded their prize live on Soccer AM."

I KNEW IT WAS A LONG SHOT, BUT YOU STILL HOPE, DON'T YOU.

IT'S NOT GOING TO BE EASY ANYWAY NEXT SEASON, EXTRA CASH WOULD HAVE BEEN HANDY.
