Fox4ever Posted 21 August 2006 Posted 21 August 2006 At 31st May last year ( the last filed accounts ) we owned the stadium ( on hire purchase ), owed £16 million re the stadium and under £1million to the bank. Our assets exceeded our liabilities. I'm no accountant but I think you need to re-examine the accounts. As at 31.5.2005 we had nett Tangible Assets of £20m with debts of £6m + £16M. On a turnover of £22m we still made a loss of £3.5m. It will be interesting to see this years.
lookwhaticando Posted 21 August 2006 Posted 21 August 2006 Usually, but it's a no win situation. We win a game, and there are people saying don't get too carried away or critisizing the opposition, taking away from the performance. If we lose, then people call for RK to be axed, and saying we aren't good enough and will be relegated
Fox4ever Posted 21 August 2006 Posted 21 August 2006 The McDonalds bloke has the biggest share doesn't he? Mc to Mandaric "ill accept 5 million and throw in a few big macs!" No Greg Clarke isone of the biggest share holders with £465,000
Manwell Pablo Posted 21 August 2006 Posted 21 August 2006 He has always supported the club for many years. Yes he could give a lot more but its his money so its up to him. I don't think you should hate him for it. Maybe he just doesn't need the hassle. And let's face it, he's already getting abuse for not putting in more money. Imagine if he bought the club and instant success didn't follow! I don't hate him and obviously it's his descion. I'm just saying he could seriously sort us out with some money if he was that much of a fan, he's worth 300 million so I don't see why he couldn't enter into some Coventry style 10 million pound of three years prem push. Obviously if he was that much of a fan he would of but I don't honestly think he is, part time suppourter at best and I bet I went to more games last season then he has over several. If he is one of these suppoused " real football, real Leicester fans" that we are so worried about losing then I really don't see why we should be so worried about it. I'm willing to bet the rest of em could stick some in with him as well if they were ambitious enough but obviously they're not. But hey they all suppourt Leicester and they saved us from Admin so lets leave them to it

lookwhaticando Posted 21 August 2006 Posted 21 August 2006 If LCFC could become a CHaridee, you might see a bit more cash coming our way as a Tax "write off"? We are one. We pay cack footballers nice wages to do sod all.

He's an old man but he is still working and hasn't started passing it all down to his sons to any great extent yet which would suggest he doesn't think he's on his way out any time soon.

He is just selling the rest of his shares in Wilson Bowden. Yes he is supporting his sons in their new development Company. He is not as old as he looks. If he ever smiled he may look younger

Manwell Pablo Posted 21 August 2006 Posted 21 August 2006 source...source... well the fact that he is still working his common knowledge and the rich list published by myself shows he's earnings are still increasing at the same rate that they have been for years. He's the richest bloke to come out of this neck of the shire, (NW) or any neck of the shire for that matter for a very long time. Alot of a certain type of people, know a certain amount about him, thats really all im willing to say on the matter.

Proper Leicester fan just like the rest of them.
Stevosevic Posted 21 August 2006 Posted 21 August 2006 There is someone on 606 claiming Mandaric has informed the stock exchange he will be bidding for Leicester, apparently you have to inform them before 3 weeks before buying a club. anybody else heard this?
newms Posted 21 August 2006 Posted 21 August 2006 i'm sure most clubs have fans who are multi millionaires but unfortunately not all of them choose to be the next Jack Walker and you can't blame them, they've made their money and have the right to choose what to do with it.
Ultra Posted 21 August 2006 Posted 21 August 2006 It's a wind-up. As we haven't been listed on the Stock Exchange since the plc went bust he could come directly to the club and make a bid. He hasn't done that.
surrifox Posted 21 August 2006 Posted 21 August 2006 Christ!!! You lot are arguing and acting as though he has tabled an official bid! ITS THE NEWS OF THE WORLD!!!! PLUCKED FROM NOWHERE!!!!!! Get back to real discussions! the article in the Mirror (as I recall) mentions three clubs which MM would be interested in City, Coventry and Sheff Utd. He got £32mill from the sale of Pompey and is a wealthy man from other interests so it's likely he might get back into football so he can get his face in the papers every week which he clearly enjoys. I can't see Sheff U's owners wanting to sell until they are certain that worn-cock will get them relegated (ie around Christmas). Coventry are in a terrible financial state and owe over £30 mill which is falling due currently which leaves city. How did the paper get hold of the story?- easy- it was planted by a Max Clifford-style public relations operator It costs nothing and enables MM to gauge the reaction to his involvement eg by reading fans' websites. It wasn't quite plucked from nowhere but its provenance is cynical and manipulative (if you're on one side of the fence) essential marketing and PR groundwork if you're on the other.

Totally missing the point.
lookwhaticando Posted 21 August 2006 Posted 21 August 2006 Sure it was Sheff U and not Sheff Wed? I was under the impression it was Sheff Wed (as was the Wed fan that posted earlier)

Surreal Madrid Posted 21 August 2006 Posted 21 August 2006 Am I right that players from the academy will not feature as assets though? While MDV, since we bought him, will. You are right, it is only the cost of player registrations ( transfer fees ) that appear as assets. However, they are written off over the length of the contract of each particular player ( as at the end of the contract they can leave on a Bosman).
