:D

If there is substance to it then I'll be delighted...when can we expect a release from the Trust?

Hellooooooo....Truust?

Thier asleep, this time in the morning... shhh :thumbup:

Why would the trust release any statement? No offer has YET been made so they won't really have anything to comment on.

In any case the Trust are mushrooms...kept in the dark and fed bulls*it.

Nothing in The Times.

Nothing in the Observer.

I am going to wait to start popping champers until I see:

a) Proof it is happening

b) Details of how much he plans to invest

c) Details of how much it is going to cost us at the turnstile

d) Details of what will happen with the management team and player aquisition

e) Details of what is going to happen with the ground

Until then I intend to continue being the miserable curmudgeon people love.

Now then...who is responsible for this?:

That interest then grew stronger thanks to overwhelming support from Leicester fans, who bombarded Mandaric with letters, emails and phone calls to rescue their club.

Do you reckon we'll all go to the ground in sheer bliss after confirmation of this on Tuesday afternoon, only to be brought back to Earth the hard way, being crushed by Stoke :(

Definitely wearing my Inter Milan shirt on Tuesday night, regardless of the dubious connotations.

I'm definitely wearing a shirt too - it's going to be nippy they say

The script is more or less written  :pinch:

But for now let's keep the optimism going :D:thumbup:

Any bid would take weeks to process. Even if the board are convinced by the proposals they still have to persuade the shareholders (including the FOXES Trust) that the deal is in the club's long term interest.

Unless Mandaric can give guarantees that he's in it for the long haul, which is far from certain (especially given his previous track record), it may not be as cut and dried as some on here would like to think.

My suspicions about the latest tabloid tale was confirmed by the suggestion that Mandaric had been "bombarded with letters, emails and phone calls" by desperate fans calling for a bid.

Yeah right. If members of the pro-Mandaric brigade had his email address and phone number don't you think they might just have appeared on here, in an attempt to boost the bandwagon?

I guess this doesn't matter, because after it is all over and the game has finished, we WILL have MILAN and from then on in, the only way is up!!!:dance::jump:

That enough optimism for you's??

Do you think Mandaric would be compatible with Kelly? I think so.

Kelly has soldiered on with the team despite the fiscal constraints, and he's a nice bloke.

Surely since he's been bound by the board in this one aspect, he can tolerate the hands-on nature of Mandaric should a bid eventuate.

im not too sure i think mandaric might push kelly aside and try and get a more experienced proven manager like he did with redknap (sp) or will gamble on bringing in a foreign manager like he did with perrain which didnt work so hopefully he would learn from his mistakes

I imagine he'll stick with him for a while, but it'll be a couple of months at best if Kelly doesn't buck his ideas up tactics wise. After the way he's been watching Portsmouth play attacking football the past 6-7 years, once he sees his new team playing with 7-8 defenders, to contain the opposition each match Kelly will be out on his rear.

I'd prefer things to work out with Kelly and for him to take us up, but TBH I don't even have any confidence in him bringing in the required attack minded players when given the funds.

Posted on another forum:

The offer, which is nowhere near the proposed overall investment of £25m, WILL be recommended by the board to an EGM. It has been the subject of discussion between the two parties for the last month.

We're not a public limited company anymore so a lot of stuff can be done behind closed doors. We've fortunately managed to have the right Chairman in place at the right time for this. He's done us proud (as long as you want MM in!).

1. He wasn't automatically coming to make a move for City.

2. He certainly wasn't going to do it now.

Increased attendances and improved results just at the right time too.

A revolution is imminent!

Still it's only a post from another forum... we need to wait and see, but i can imagine that the board have potentially been doing somthing right if there is anything to the MM stories... we'll have to wait and see it seems... still I'll be there Tuesday night with my "WE WANT MILAN" Placards :)

We got the "Martin Don't Go" and "Peirpoint Out" posters printed?

How much would it cost? Someone (I - if I could get chance - probably not by Tuesday though ) should get some printed and get people to hold them up on Tuesday.

Could Ricey get the "We Want Milan" Logo's onto, say, 50-100 A3/A2 bits of white card? Might cost a big though

...I'm sticking with my three part "We Want Milan" Signs, expect we'll be in the west stand.

I'm not going on Tuesday but I could create a Word file that people can download and print out themselves?

That'd be ace... if there's an offer during the week or even just before Tuesday's match (still an 'if') then it would look good if we had a few in the crowd so early...
