Mort Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 Nothing like the reak of desperation in the air to attract serious investors! Fair piont, to be honest I'm probably sticking with the good ol'd home made sign... but somthing a little more polished when an offer is actually on the table would be nice
Bluefoxtim Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 nice! What's that foxestalk thing all about? I doubt ill print one off unless its a mass thing. Will look a bit of an idiot on my own!
Finnegan Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 nice! What's that foxestalk thing all about? I doubt ill print one off unless its a mass thing. Will look a bit of an idiot on my own! If everyone has that attitude it'll never happen. Who produced the Don't Go Martin signs? The Mockery?
Libertine Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 I would print one out but I don't want loads of FoxesTalk people coming up to me. It'd obviously happen.
Daggers Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 "Crew byfuture had golden , crew byfuture had Milan" Serbian to English translators. Welcome Milan. The future is golden, the future is Milan
Daggers Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 Oh, and don't mention the war...I did once but I think I got away with it :pinch:
Foxes_Trust Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 We have no official news of this story. We are aware that the club have been examining a variety of options of getting additional investment & seemed fairly convinced it would be achieved. From our contacts within the Trust movement though we know MM is very good at playing the media game, so if he was to launch a bid releasing "information" via the "popular press" in advance would be his style.

lookwhaticando Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 Why's everyone expecting the Trust to fook things up?
Matt Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 Why's everyone expecting the Trust to fook things up? Well the board or Foxes Trust are likly too...Its just Leicester look so were just warning them!
lookwhaticando Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 Well the board or Foxes Trust are likly too...Its just Leicester look so were just warning them! Fair enough, then.
lookwhaticando Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 I would have thought the prospect of having some money to spend would be quite exciting. But I'm not all that excited by it. Part of me is expecting MM, if he succeeds in the takeover, to get rid of Kelly/Stowell and pick up some crap manager like Perrin whose signings will all be crap players who don't even speak a word of English. I also expect that such a manager will ignore our academy completely, too. The upside is we could probably get rid of some of the crap - Douglas, Johnson, Low, etc... but at what cost? I don't want Kelly/Stowell to be replaced by some crap manager like Perrin, mostly.

Matt Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 Sunday Mirror? Popular? I hate the Mirror, Can't stand the paper, I know people slag it off but I'm with The Sun all the way.
Daggers Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 I take it back...it appears the Sunday Mirror is far more popular than I realised. That's scary!
MBK Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 I don't want Kelly/Stowell to be replaced by some crap manager like Perrin, mostly. Agreed....especially because money is not what we really want...the players to win this league are here either first team or academy. And also ownership usually makes fans disenchanted...lcfc are much better in this respect...I believe the best way to free up cash for the club is to make a chunk of shares in the club available say 20% of the club value should allow safe floatation of the club with significant cash available in the immediate short term... More than anything get a couple of wingers Mandarich is not really wanted either way
Daggers Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 Mandarich is not really wanted either way You what?

More than anything get a couple of wingers Mandarich is not really wanted either way That's not entirely true... I'd like him to bring some financial relief so we can bring in decent replacements when we need them. What I don't want is a wholesale change of the playing staff. Our first choice strikers are good enough. Our CB pairing and Goalkeeper are great. We just need a few options in a few positions and we're laughing. What we need Mandaric for is mostly to cut our debts. Once we cut the debt enough, the club itself should be in relatively good shape financially. That's something we can thank the current board for, they've kept things sensible.
