Chrysalis Posted 21 December 2006 Posted 21 December 2006 YEAH i WAS JUST TALKING IN GENERAL AFTER SOMEONE SAID MICKY ADAMS HAD A CLUE!!!!!! HE TOTALLY LOST THE PLOT IN THE END! MENTAL!!!!!! HE MADE PAULINE FOWLER LOOK SANE What about the start of his reign? he is probably the best manager we had post MON.
Manwell Pablo Posted 21 December 2006 Posted 21 December 2006 What about the start of his reign? he is probably the best manager we had post MON. What? when he inherited a squad with five or six premier league players in it and managed to get it promoted? well done Micky.

Well he can't be doing too bad - look at Palace. Dowie took them no-where and he's a half-decent manager. We were a bit quick to fire Adams, even if he wasn't exactly world class; weren't we 10th when he got the boot?

Levien was given the task of slashing that by five million.
potter3 Posted 21 December 2006 Posted 21 December 2006 Plus MA wasn't actually sacked, he walked out on us.
Chrysalis Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 What? when he inherited a squad with five or six premier league players in it and managed to get it promoted? well done Micky. Too sceptical, a bad manager can inherit barcelona and get them relegated. How are west brom doing with their premiership squad?
Manwell Pablo Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Too sceptical, a bad manager can inherit barcelona and get them relegated. How are west brom doing with their premiership squad? The division is totally differnt now, theres alot more money involved. We cleared our debts by going into admin and kept some key players, while the rest of Division one was still attempting to deal with the ITV crash. Hows Micky the World class manager doing with the 6 million odd pounds he's had to spend at Cov?
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 Lua Lua at Pompey may not be a bad shout or even Carlton Cole as someone's already suggested. However, think Lua Lua is injured
Mort Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 Lua Lua at Pompey may not be a bad shout or even Carlton Cole as someone's already suggested. However, think Lua Lua is injured Thing is Lua Lua was getting regular games for Pompey... then again you never know, but Cole would be a possibility as he's still getting nothing in the way of games at WestHam (to be honest Curbs selections are bizzare... he's leaving out both the Argies who've not been bad, esspecially Tevez) and there's a lot of talk about them getting rid of some of their strikers this month, so a loan deal for Cole might be what their looking for.
Leonisco Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 Lua Lua at Pompey may not be a bad shout or even Carlton Cole as someone's already suggested. However, think Lua Lua is injured Somehow I doubt it.
Mort Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 Is there any chance of getting Dunn or Hendrie in, supposing the deal is sorted in the next week or two? Would be an excellent signing, along with Ifill from Shef-Utd... then throw a decent left-back, target man and maybe a good holding player (loans mostly) into the mix and you have the makings of a very solid side IMHO.
Guest big chris at the back of g2 Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 well i think we need a decent centre midfield i would like someone who will pull there weight and can pass and shoot someone like david dunn
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 3 January 2007 Author Posted 3 January 2007 well i think we need a decent centre midfield i would like someone who will pull there weight and can pass and shoot someone like david dunn too injury prone
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 Tony Capaldi LB Kris Commons Midfield Todorov Striker Unless Fergie fancies loaning us Ronaldo who I would probably make room for! We will probably sign someone like Leon Knight though!
Geo V Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 Capaldi??!! Oh God know!! He is useless. Commons would be a great signing but I cant see him leaving the Stinkin Trees. Lua Lua was a Man Utd target in the summer and to think we could get him is madness IMO!! We wont have that much to spend and god help us as prices are high, even Akinbiyi went for just under a million again. Think lower league or unwanted Championship/Premier players. Maybe Hoskins, Billy Sharp would be great young strikers although Matty Fryatt is a bad advert for young lower division strikers. I reckon Paul Gallagher at Blackburn (who did well on loan to Stoke) is a fair shout as they have added 3 strikers in since the summer, David Thompson of Portsmouth, maybe with old Andy Cole if the Bell Ringers get Earnshaw as reported, maybe Lee Hendrie from Villa although I reckon Stoke may get first dibbs, Chris Riggott at Middlesboro and maybe Maccarone although he looks like going back to Italy and maybe the likes of Todorov from Wigan who look like buying Ellington from WBA. I`d say the above are kind of realistic signings for us although I`d love to think the likes of Carlton Cole and Lua Lua would come along the good old ship Mandaric!

Carlton Cole's done jack for the past two or three seasons and I very much doubt whether Pompey would sell Lua Lua.
josh_baskin Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 What about Billy Sharpe from S****horpe? Or could he just turn out the same way as Matt Fryat?
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 I say just play safe and spend the lot on free LCFC flags for every fan at home games. If we wave these around enough the current crop of players will start giving a shit and we will be promoted come May!

Geo V Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 at some of the above! Carlton Cole has a decent reputation but I agree he has done fudge all in recent years. The thing is he is a London lad at a London club and for some ******, thats good enough!! Some pro`s these days are happy not playing and enjoying the lifestyle of boning most bimbo`s in London town! BTW I live in London and over the years you see these nobodies out in the clubs, Happy as Larry!
RowlattsFox Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 lee martin from man utd. just got back from a loan spell at rangers. think he is a winger but not sure which side.
Chrysalis Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 It will mainly be loan deals and freebies with most of budget going on wages, I would expect players who stuck in premiership reserves and from other championship clubs. Possibly a old former great player providing leadership and experience.
