Player ratings v. Cardiff

Recommended Posts

Hendo 6 - Not much to do, kicked reasonably well from some difficult situations

Maybury 7 - Good clearance off the line

Kisnorbo 7 - Solid again

McAuley 7.5 - Would have been better if he kept full concentration for the 90 minutes

Nisse 8 - Good tackling, great positioning

Low 2 - Abysmal, only gave him points for the two or three flick-ons he won

Williams 6 - Slightly disappointing, still managed to manufacture some of our best moves

Tiatto 6.5 - Busied himself, tackled well but needs to improve distribution

Porter 5.5 - Struggled slightly, passing was stray many times but still had some spark

Hume 6 - Worked hard but just isn't getting the rub of the green

Hammond 4 - Got into good positions but wasted them by either falling over, playing a poor pass or shooting off-cue

SUBS:

Welsh 6 - Anything was better than Low

Fryatt 6 - Quite energetic, with better service perhaps could have netted the winner

Weso N/A - Not on long enough

Henderson - 7- His kicking hs really improved, apart from THAT fooked up back pass lol. Good again althought not a lot to do

Maybury - 5 - Was he playing?

McAuley - 8 excellent play again, good distribution, makeshift target man?

Kisnorbo - 6 Good blocks and tackles but a few shaky moments an needs to improve distribution.

Johansson - 8 Well played again, reads the game superbly and some good forward play. Still not an attacking left back tho so maybe 3-4-3 is the way forward?

Low - 3.5 GET OUT OF MY CLUB

Williams - 7 Shame he and nissa are leaving in the summer

Tiatto - 5 disgraceful too old and lethargic

Porter - 6 did excellent in the first half but the sub in cardiffs right back meant his second half performance left a lot to be desired

Hume - 6 :( out of form, still did well a few good shots

Hammond - 7 creates havoc for defenders close to an 8. Should have scored tho!

Welsh - 5

Fryatt - 4

Wesolowski - 6

Welsh - 6

Fryatt - 6.5

Wesolowski - 6

I'd agree with that but give Fryatt a 4.5.

Granted we don't have a reserve team for Matty to gain match fitness, but where is his determination to train hard and push himself to get back. I haven't seen any evidence of it. A month ago, he started to get substitute appearances. In that time, he has barely shed any weight, still looks a full 2 yards off the pace (forget half a yard) and looks nowhere near ready for a starting spot.

In fact, thinking back to Luton in our first game, he looked unfit and unready. You have to question the temperament of a lad who seems unable to prepare himself or push himself to be at his peak performance.

Henderson 7 (He had nothing to do but did it well)

Maybury 6.5 (Played his part in a clean sheet but sod-all else)

McAuley 8 (Looked almost classy)

Kisnorbo 7 (As with Maybury but will Kelly ever demand that 10 yards be his maximum pass)

Nils 7 (Tried really hard and often succeeded in being a partner for Porter. Trouble was as soon as he attacked he looked knackered and a bit vulnerable)

Low 0 (That's not being facetious. He played one half anyway and did nothing of value in that entire time as I recall. Worse, he was always a split second late as if he didn't have his heart in it. Do us all a favour and sod off)

Williams 6 (Just not fit enough to use his talent. Andy King must weep at never getting a chance).

Tiatto 6.75 (If only he could last a full game. He meant every tackle and every pass. Just ran out of motive power which is a big minus really).

Porter 8 (Our attack's equiavalent of McAuley. Made his mistakes but was at the hub of every classy move we made. Ten different sized Porter's in the team and we'd keep the ball for ages - and it would never rise off the ground. Virtually starved second half because tiring midfielders meant he had to move further and further back. what a waste).

Hammond 5 (Missed one good chance and got all his marks for his first half effort. Got completely head down, anxious and indecisive second half)

Hume 6.5 (The odd shot but seems to be foraging fruther and further back - almost as if Kelly's sneaking a 4-5-1 on us).

Subs: Welsh 4 (Not enough pace or strength to beat anyone and forever turning back ontohis favoured foot which defeated the object of playing him out wide. Blatantly coped out a couple of times - once by giving Porter a hospital ball on his inside cos he couldn't stand the heat. Had I been Porter I'd have slogged him.

Fryatt 5 (Compentently taken disallowed goal. At least looked like he was trying at last)

Wesolowski 5 (If he completed his 10 minutes uninjured that will be a bonus for the day).

Henderson - 7 - Solid and dependable, though had little to do to be honest. Kicking still wayward at times.

Maybury - 6 - Better than usual.

McAuley - 8* - Back to his best after a run of shakey performances. Superb. MOTM.

Kisnorbo - 6 - Played well on the whole, but too many errors are creeping into his game.

Johansson - 8 - Recovered well after a dodgy start to put in an excellent display.

Low - 3 - A miserable performance.

Williams - 6 - Some great passing, but some bloody awful passing too.

Tiatto - 7 - Continued his run of good form and provided much needed bite in midfield.

Porter - 7.5 - Another good performance and is proving to be our most creative player.

Hume - 6 - Little to show for his efforts. Has dipped in form.

Hammond - 5 - Created some excellent opportunites only to then go and shockingly squander them. :o

Welsh - 5 - Poor.

Fryatt - 5 - Poor.

Wesolowski - Not on long enough to really make a difference.

Ref - 0 - Rubbish. I just cannot believe how bad some of these refs are. Disgraceful.

henderson 6 did he have anything to do? 1 terrible hacked kick to remember.

maybury 6 hard to remember him but don't think he was too bad.

kisnorbo 4 pretty awful. good in the air but a liability on the ground. was a real anarok today and monitered his passing. not one pass over 10 yards went to a leicester player.

mcauley 7 some nervousness but solid. he looks the only centre back we have capable of bringing the ball out of defence unfortunately for him the rest of his team mates don't offer themselves for a pass.

nissa 7 good today actually put in some good passes and defended well. shows you can defend without being cautioned.

porter 6 good first half but faded a bit in the second still doesn't get to the byline!

williams 6 ok but set pieces were awful.

tiatto 7 thought he did quite well today. some good tackles and not bad going forward.

low 1 simply not good enough. as no positional sense and no pace and can't defend.

hume 5 off form. tried hard but he's supposed to be a striker but is currently playing too deep.

hammond 5 probably too laid back ever to really make it. poor first touch and should have scored.

welsh 5 offered very little and showed his lack of match fitness and understanding of team mstes.

fryatt 5 not fit. but never given any decent service.

weso not on long enough.

Donner - 5, doesn't seem interested if he isn't getting his oats

Blitzen - 7, feisty nuzzling of other reindeer on the park

Rudolph - 2, red nose fails to cover up inability

Santa - 6, but failed to produce the goods from his sack

Elf - 5, aimless labouring

I agree with pretty much all of that apart from Low. He was poor, not poor enough to play a 0.

Henderson - 6 Solid

Maybury - 6 Did his job okay

McAuley - 7* Best performer again, wins most in the air

Kisnorbo - 7 Average performance today

Johansson - 7 Some good wing play, and decisive tackles

Low - 3 No confidence, how low can he go?

Williams - 4 Wasteful passing throughout, not good enough

Tiatto - 6 Worked hard

Porter - 6 first half was good, drifts in centre too much though and was poor in the 2nd

Hume - 7 Working hard again upfront, needs a proper striker with him though

Hammond - 5 Not good enough for this level, cannot finish at all

Welsh - 5 Very average

Fryatt - 5 Not the man of last season, confidence perhaps?

Wesolowski - 5 steady few minutes

Low and Williams were terrible, I can't understand how people can say Williams is good. His passing which is supposed to be his best attribute was very bad, again!!
