I thought that if a yellow card had been issued for the offence, and it was then no further action could be taken as in Morgan Vs Hume It's one of those incidents where further action is allowed. Don't know the exact ruling.

The only incident that was reported was the object that hit a steward aimed at Adebayor wasn't it? Sadly, when the fan gets caught, which he will, he'll be banned for life from football.
