Daggers Posted 10 January 2007 Share Posted 10 January 2007 Do you buy it? Did anyone start buying two just to collect the cards? I was buying each one until they took my 10% away and have been stunned to discover that I don't miss it at all. I never used to think about buying one, I just did it out of habit. I don't reckon I'll go back to buying them now.

RowlattsFox Posted 10 January 2007 Share Posted 10 January 2007 i used to buy one every home game, read it before the game and then never look at it again, sometimes even left it in ground. i've never brought one at an away game though.
JoeyB Posted 10 January 2007 Share Posted 10 January 2007 would of been better as a poll i rarely buy it, the times i do buy it tho are when leicester are playing REALLY bad and i need someting to do or someone wants me to buy one for them
Guest Gist Posted 10 January 2007 Share Posted 10 January 2007 I get Home ones but don't bother with Away, there is nothing in them about Leicester anyway!
dandannieldanok Posted 10 January 2007 Share Posted 10 January 2007 Overpriced rubbish, I only get ones from away grounds because it gives me a sense of nostalgia and I'm not the one paying it.
Daggers Posted 10 January 2007 Author Share Posted 10 January 2007 My brother has just started collecting old FA Cup programs ...he sees it as a socio-political commentary of the nation and the game through the ages. I see it as a way of throwing lots of money away and using big words
Leonisco Posted 10 January 2007 Share Posted 10 January 2007 I've still got my programme from the 2000 Wortho Cup Final somewhere.
dandannieldanok Posted 10 January 2007 Share Posted 10 January 2007 I always enjoy reading about the Leicester team in away programs. They always make a cock-up somewhere with either a picture or a piece of information.
The Stig Posted 10 January 2007 Share Posted 10 January 2007 I always like reading them and always buy them at home games
Daggers Posted 10 January 2007 Author Share Posted 10 January 2007 I've still got my programme from the 2000 Wortho Cup Final somewhere. I have still got my autographed prog from the first International I ever went to - when Viv Anderson became the first ever black player to play for England. luffbra Posted 10 January 2007 Share Posted 10 January 2007 I buy them fairly religiously I've got boxes of the things As I'm aiming to complete the 92, I've got programmes from several clubs - Leicester's really does deserve the awards it seems to get ... Embrace the programme!!

Stuliasz Posted 10 January 2007 Share Posted 10 January 2007 We still get one every game although we often remark why we still do. It's outrageously overpriced for what it is really.

Flynny Posted 10 January 2007 Share Posted 10 January 2007 i always get one, i like reading about the youth team. In before someone says "As opposed to seeing any of them playing in the first team' or something equally snide.
syston_fox Posted 10 January 2007 Share Posted 10 January 2007 I buy one every game I go to. Not really sure why, my cupboard's full of them and they never get read. Same with me. I always read the away ones pretty much cover to cover on the coach home just for something to do. Buy the home one too and just flick through it before the game and at half time. After that they just get put in a cupboard and left there. Think I must have every home programme for the last 6 years stashed away now..... except the Macclesfield cup one!
