No I said they chose that lifestyle, they chose to live as an out gay man or lesbian. I DO NOT think someone just chooses to be gay, I believe that life events have an effect.... BUT, there has to be something already there at birth, whether it's genetic or not I don't know. If someone said... Do you think a gay couple should be allowed to adopt a child, IF that child is of the age where they will have a decent enough understanding of what the home life could be like, any consequences they may face as a result etc... and they had the choice, to stay in care or to go there. Then I would probably have a different view point.

Gender's a mental state and isn't strictly dictated by someone's physical sex. Nature dictates that men and women have children together. Two men can't, neither can two women. If nature dictates that's how it goes then that's good enough for me. If we ever evolve to the point where two members of the same sex can, then i'll change my mind. 100% agree, a white couple aren't allowed to adopt a black child because they would be 'too culturally unaware' or some other PC bullshit but 2 gay men or women can raise a straight child, it doesn't make sense. also for all the checks and balances before adoption we all know that social workers with their 'more right on than thou' attittudes will fall over themselves to place a child with a gay couple. as for the catholic church the state has no right to tell people what to believe. call me a bigot if you like, i don't give a shit.
