Manwell Pablo Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 Why is it whenever we try to add experience to our squad we go for the worst possible solution every single time. Why are we even signing a striker when we've got at least 5 capable first team strikers more capable than the Horse and just sold our best central midfielder and haven't got anyone in the first team squad who can play right wing. Unless Kelly is planning on playing 4-2-4 next game he has no reason for signing this disabled. RIP LCFC. I should imagine he's all we can afford unfortuantely.

filbertway Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 Wouldn't mind him, if he can score and win headers for us, none of the others are.
dandannieldanok Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 Please lets not get Horsfield, crap at Leeds so why should he be any better here.
Simi Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 Please lets not get Horsfield, crap at Leeds so why should he be any better here. Exactly. Why bother at Leeds the only thing he did was get sent off.
Sods Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 I really cant see horsefield being a success at leicester. But it least it shows we are going for a striker who has a chance of heading it. He is past it my eyes but at least we are signing someone.
Dames Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 After Concentrating all their efforts into this deal they will announce at midnight that he has joined, leaving no time to bolster the paper thin midfield. I hope this helps
Joe. Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 Hmmm not quite sure on this one. He is decent in the air and will get a few goals, which is more than you can say for what we already have. If we get him for a small fee t shouldn't be too bad. At least give the guy a chance and then see...
Lichfieldfox. Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 TBH I'd rather recall MDV than waste cash on someone who is past his sellby date. No point buying a striker when we've just let our most creative midfielder go.

Master Fox Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 Hats off to Kelly another bit of shrewd business in the transfer market. What a great manager we have!
Ric Flair Posted 31 January 2007 Author Posted 31 January 2007 Hats off to Kelly another bit of shrewd business in the transfer market. What a great manager we have! The thread is now complete. I was waiting for Master Fox's opinion on the news. I have to agree here, an astute piece of business. I'm trying to come up with positives. Gut instinct when I hear Horsfield's name is that he's a proven goal scorer, but then I remember he's not really scored consistently for 4 or so seasons! The good news is, it's still not been confirmed and we only have 32 mins to confirm loan signings.

Just think what a great partnership Elvis & Horsefield will be.....?? That ought to wet the fans appetite again....
Toby or not Toby Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 looks like it literally will be 100% route 1 now!
Sods Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 so are we getting geoff or what??linkage?? fook knows m8, your not going to get a quote from leicester. As it took about an hour after the birmingham game was called off to everyone. Bloddy shite are OS is
Joe. Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 The good news is, it's still not been confirmed and we only have 32 mins to confirm loan signings. No you can still make loan signings after the window shuts from 7th February apparently until sometime in March...
The People's Hero Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 No you can still make loan signings after the window shuts from 7th February apparently until sometime in March... Andy Welsh and Gareth Farrelly it is then.
Lichfieldfox. Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 I think I'll put my season ticket up on ebay and donate the proceeds to charity.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 might have been an ok signing.....7 years ago!! ...what has happened to this tepid little creature we call Leicester City FC ...I say we start picking on Peter Taylor again, anyone know his address?
The People's Hero Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 I think I'll put my season ticket up on ebay and donate the proceeds to charity. Think of the possibilities! I could recycle that in to a crisp piece of white paper!
Leonisco Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 Andy Welsh and Gareth Farrelly it is then. Don't forget Carl Asaba.
The People's Hero Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 Don't forget Carl Asaba. Something a bit cloak and dagger went on there... he wasn't quite 'OLE' enough in the way that Danny 'the supplier' Cadawotsit was. Get me? HUH? *nudge*
