Flynny Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 Seeing as Holland is acting Charlton captain, why is he being linked to us all the time?
MC Prussian Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 Seeing as Holland is acting Charlton captain, why is he being linked to us all the time? Because some people have a very vivid imagination.
Jon the Hat Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 Colin Charvis or Colin Cooper Tommy Cooper more like.
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 A box to box player I can't tell whether or not that is a very poor joke or your actually being serious.
Leonisco Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 Todorov would be an excellent signing if it's true, a natural finisher is just what we need. I'd welcome Patrik Berger as we're well short of midfield options, and he can score goals from midfield, which is another thing we're desperately lacking ATM.
Graz Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 Yeah she`ll do as she could scare opponents with ease! BTW I still havent recovered from Fulham having a player called John Collins and when he left a Collins John turned up to confuse me. If we ever buy the Jamaican International Claridge Steve I will give up watching football. I swear to cod. I'm pretty sure that John Collins actually changed his name to Collins John near the end of his career as well, Finidi George style. Or I could just be imagining it, or it could be that when I first heard of Collins John I thought that's what it was. Yeah I'm pretty sure that didn't happen. It says on Wikipedia though that it was actually John Collins that introduced collins John at Fulham. ::
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 todorov or aliadere hughes or holland o'brien I think the Pompey trio are a possibility, but we've no chance re Holland and Aliadiere - although I wouldn't say no. Charlton are gonna rely heavily on Holland at the mo !!!
shen Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 Stuart Taylor did great when he was here. If we could get him back in that would be great. Tall keeper who can kick and a good shot stopper. Do we really want to use our ressources on a goalkeeper though? To be fair to them, both Henderson and Logan have done quite well.
Babylon Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 Do we really want to use our ressources on a goalkeeper though? To be fair to them, both Henderson and Logan have done quite well. No we don't... our goalkeepers are not losing us games. Not creative midfielders, non scoring strikers and non defending defenders are!!!!!!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 We'd be better off with Anatoli Todorov from Litex Lovech through the medium of Football Manager 2004.
shen Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 No we don't... our goalkeepers are not losing us games. Not creative midfielders, non scoring strikers and non defending defenders are!!!!!! My point exactly..
foxes_fan Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 Michael Hughes anyone? http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...p;channel=&
Stevosevic Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 Michael Hughes anyone? http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...p;channel=& 35 years old? dont think so. a little younger is required i think.
dandannieldanok Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 35 years old? dont think so. a little younger is required i think. Agreed, MM may want experience but I'm sure he won't be looking at 35 year olds.
davieG Posted 16 February 2007 Posted 16 February 2007 Michael Hughes anyone?http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...p;channel=& I've always rated him but age ain't on his side, I guess it depends on whether the loan is with a view to a permanent signing or just this season. Even at his age I'd prefer him to Johnson.
dan_84 Posted 17 February 2007 Posted 17 February 2007 i dont get how matt holland is even being mentioned. he is constantly in the charlton squad at the minute. he's too old anyway. Id think we should get Danny Murphy. isnt even getting on the bench at spurs. Perfect chance for him to put himself in the shop window for another team next season maybe even us. Matt Holland is more of a battling midfielder, we need someone who can create something out of nothing and find a bit of magic from nowhere.
Fox Mulder Posted 17 February 2007 Posted 17 February 2007 Little birdie tells me that we're after Chris Gunter from Cardiff City. Young left back, not a senior player, but bags of potential. You haven't seen me here. It's all smoke and mirrors. WwwOOooooo......
Geo V Posted 17 February 2007 Posted 17 February 2007 Seeing as Holland is acting Charlton captain, why is he being linked to us all the time? He has been linked to us before he got back in the Charlton side and the snowball has got bigger despite the fact that he now plays most games!
OzFox311 Posted 17 February 2007 Posted 17 February 2007 Little birdie tells me that we're after Chris Gunter from Cardiff City. Young left back, not a senior player, but bags of potential. You haven't seen me here. It's all smoke and mirrors. WwwOOooooo...... Where have I heard those words before.... oh wait, with every single other player we have signed to this club in the past 3 years... Seriously though, if he is a good prospect then sure, but I'd rather we get some older experience players to go with Horse and help give the youngsters direction... we have talent in some areas, we need experience and leadership.
kamikazi_watermelon Posted 17 February 2007 Posted 17 February 2007 new players? i swear the transfer window is closed....
OzFox311 Posted 17 February 2007 Posted 17 February 2007 it's called On loan.... We all know the window is closed.. but there are plenty of players we can get on loan who I am sure could be useful for our end of season and who knows, we might even keep a few come the next year....
