I'm a pancake expert.

Back in the days when GCSE's were actually challenging I spent my entire Food Technology project making pancakes. I got an A*. Go me.

Woo hoo, I love this site - an endless source of inspiration for impromptu lessons ideas... for all those lessons when I suddenly discover I haven't actuallly planned anything :ermm::giggle:

My Year 6s are now happily planning their 'perfect pancakes'. I sense pancake poems coming on next! :D

I love pancakes, flipping out the pan

I love pancakes, any way I can

I love pancakes, with sugar and lemon

I love pancakes, with eggs and ham on

I love pancakes, savoury or sweet

I love pancakes, wrapped around meat

I love pancakes, smoothered in syrup

I love pancakes, they make me hiccup!

I love pancakes, choccy sauce and 'nana

I love pancakes, my idea of Nirvana!

I thank you!

Tomorrow I'll be full of crépe, like most of the posters in this forum! :D

PS. You can have pancakes any day of the year. It's true, honest!

You'll be thrilled to know I just read that out to them... you are now officially famous. They were impressed  - well, the majority were. One delightful specimen yawned and declared it 'trite' - though, I have to say, I'm liking her choice of vocab - alarmingly appropriate! :P:thumbup:

Is that the same delightful specimen who cacks her pants on a weekly basis?

Year 10s... just don't know they're born these days.

Trite?! TRITE?! *reaches for dictionary*

If she can come up with better in 5 mins, I'd like to see it!

Bring back the Birch! (I don't mean Alan!) :P For cheeky teachers too! :yesyes:

"alarmingly appropriate" indeed!

Oh, and no one here (apart from me in poetic form (-ish)) has mentioned Nutella and Banana - which is beautiful! Picked up from the Crépe Bars of Paris that are their euivilant of burger bars over here.

Despite many disagreeing with me, Im not a very good tosser so cant make a decent pancake. If I did manage to toss one properly I think just a bit of jam and a sprinkling of sugar would do the trick. A bit boring maybe but Im not a pancake eater usually.
