Floating Fox Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 Who had their top off at the end on the top row? I could see 'em from K. He was just to the left of me. He took it off when leeds were singing the awfull "champions of Europe" song and swirling their scarves.
Floating Fox Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 people can dig our atmosphere all they like but in reality most home support is bad in the championship. I've been to most away games this year and the Only teams who have had reasonable home support have been WBA and Derby. QPR, Southend, Brum, Wolves, Luton etc. etc. All had much worse atmospheres than various home games we've had at the walkers. This isnt a biased opinion it's the truth. When teams like Leeds come away, stand and sing all game its very hard for home fans to do anything, we in N block certainly tried but to no avail. I bet Fulham, Brum, Palace etc. think the same thing when we go away and make alot of noise. Agree with what your saying but I spoke to A palace fan and he said it was the worst set of away fans he'd seen all season.
Floating Fox Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 I think the only way to get the whole group going together would be to have a chant starter with a drum and maybe put them at the front. not me
lildave3 Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 Or perhaps they had come along to watch a game of football? Then why sit in a singing section if you're not going to sing. And you know i meant that, you just have to pick fault with everything anyone does.

Simi Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 Once again just the top few rows singing and a few people in the middle and towards the bottom. . Very frustrating considering it is a singing section. Jamie I know got very frustrated and moved down rows to try and create something but nothing ever really kicked off.
Nath Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 surely those at the ticket office should mention that where they are purchasing tickets, it is a designated singing section...? fair enough those who had season tickets there already not singing, which is quite easy to see why... but those who switch/buy should be notified about the area.

What can they do ? I'm sure they know. Theres really nothing we can do to MAKE people sing.

foxesfan1 Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 used to sit in the kop but i must say i prefer L1 / K1 better than the rest i am yet to try the N block but i never did like sitting with the family suppose it is somewhere to try once but the L1 is where i will be getting me season ticket next year always a bit of banter
lcfc_jme Posted 15 March 2007 Posted 15 March 2007 Jamie I know got very frustrated and moved down rows to try and create something but nothing ever really kicked off. Indeed I did and I was stood next to somebody off of here (also trying to sing down there with me). I had a go but when there's only you and one or two others prepared to sing and you're surrounded by about 20 - 30 others who aren't prepared to sing, there's no way anything is going to work. It's a thankless task. I'd have felt a bit better if two or three more people had come down from the top with me, but to be quite honest, I can't see that it would have made one iota of difference. Very frustrating stuff.
LE8Blue Posted 15 March 2007 Posted 15 March 2007 on saturday we should do the leeds one long chant whilst waving scarfs shirts etc around
Flynny Posted 15 March 2007 Posted 15 March 2007 He was just to the left of me. He took it off when leeds were singing the awfull "champions of Europe" song and swirling their scarves. No-one off 'ere, then?

Very frustrating stuff. I went down with you mate Also, I would like to add that the people who do come in N block. Please sing as it is a singing section and we do need to drown out the away fans. Even though they are in a corner and the sound does bounce around more. If we can get a song going for ages it may carry round the stadium a bit by bit. Then the whole stadium could be singing at the same time Like NVWA when Liverpool sing it.

DB11 Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 I can't hear them and I sit in the family stand.... enough said.
JoeyB Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 I can't hear them and I sit in the family stand.... enough said. Clean your ears out then! I sit in C2 with Joe. and we can here bits of it but not full songs. but i bet if we got closer and people joined in it would be better
davieG Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 I can't hear them and I sit in the family stand.... enough said. How many times does someone have to keep saying they can't hear before the message gets across that neither can the rest of the stadium hear anyone else unless you've got 3000 to 4000 people all singing the same song.
lcfc_jme Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 I can't hear them and I sit in the family stand.... enough said. OK, you had your opinion and, surprise surprise, it's a negative one. I don't actually care who can hear us and who can't. As davieG said - we don't have 3000 or 4000 people singing in N Block, and so we aren't exactly going to be the loudest in the ground. As for not being able to hear us in the Family Stand - get a grip. If there have been complaints from people in the Family Stand about swearing and the like, the Family Stand is evidently able to hear some of what is going on in N Block.
Toby or not Toby Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 im sure that the players hear noise coming from the stand and that is the main point isnt it, the players know that we are supporting them!!! who cares if other fans cant hear them, as long as players recieve it then its a success!!!!
davieG Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 Can we draw a line under this hearing the singing around the stadium the discussion has been done to death.
