potter3 Posted 13 March 2007 Posted 13 March 2007 The top few rows were singign, then all the ones in front were not moving, and they didn't sit there before it became a singing block
Fez of Mahrez Posted 13 March 2007 Posted 13 March 2007 My first time in N block. Not really loud but at least there's a concerted effort to keep singing pretty much all game. Tonight was a one-off because Leeds' away support was very impressive and extremely loud. The game wasn't exactly conducive to a good atmosphere. I was shocked at how little you can hear of the Kop from the other end of the ground though. It looked completely full yet I didn't hear anything from them, yet KM said it was pretty good tonight atmosphere-wise as far as the Kop goes. The best thing about it is being able to stand all game. Absolutely cracking.
AyewJoking Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 You guys in the thick of N block may be having a good time but from the kop it looks like maybe the top half of N block were "the singing section" and how many people is that altogether? Not alot and no offence but it is a crime to call N block the singing section. I had visions of N block being like the away section but singing FOR Leicester. There just arent enough of you guys. You're just another L1. I applaud what you are trying to achieve and respect to you if you sit in N block but its little wonder the club arent publicising it.

AyewJoking Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 Sorry to offend you. I know its harsh but why do you think its ludicrous?
Manwell Pablo Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 Sorry to offend you. I know its harsh but why do you think its ludicrous? Maybe because from our end of the ground it looked like the kop didn't make a squeek for the whole game. Morale of the story being, don't try and judge the noise levels from parts of the ground you can't hear properly.
Tommeh Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 Had another good time in N block Tonight. Even when the football on the pitch isn't too amusing the banter in the stands and the people your around will always guarentee you a good laugh. Didnt really stop singing all match however Leeds fans were very good and was hard to drown them out. P.s Tranmere on a friday night chant was magic

Sorry for making my original post look like i was criticisng the noise levels in N block. Doesnt look too full and so hardly justifies a "singing section" is what I meant.

I undestand what your saying but theres is a lack of space and lack of alternatives
Daggers Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 *click* <<Hello caller>> Hello? <<Yes, hello caller>> Hi, my name is Dave (long time N-block watcher, first time attender) and I would just like to say the stewards in N-block suck the horses arse...especially the one who told me not to chant or he'd have me thrown out of the ground. Bloody horse-arse sucker. Thank you. *click*
SystonFox Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 agreed Dave. the stumpy ginger guy is a nice bloke but when we equalized i went mental and was grabbed by a police man round the neck told to stop antagonizing the away support. i was just celebrating the equalizer, nobody tried to stop them when a few charged our way when they went 1-0 up and i told him this yet he wouldnt reason. then in the concourse the stumpy ginger guy wants to know what i got done for by the copper and i said he told me i was swearing and antagonizing and the steward agreed. im sorry but i dont think i was and the police/stewards are just too scared to disagree and will throw out any lcfc fan because they are too scared to eject an away fan.
SystonFox Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 the policeman also only apologized to me for grabbing me round the neck when i asked his colleague for his badge number. idiots. knew he was in the wrong.
lildave3 Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 It was another enjoyable experience in N Block, sang and stood pretty much throughout, but there was not enough people joining in. Too many people had come to listen to the songs and not join in. But like i say, it was still good.
Sods Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 I thought it was much better than the west brom game. I wasn't in the back rows, and i was standing at FF and the people around me were singing there. I think their will be an issue with the smoking though, at half time it was unbelievable in the toilets. As we are a smoking free stadium and especially as we share the concourse with the family stand. Anyway i enjoyed it (and to be fair thats all that counts to me, i coundt care less if someone from the other stands couldnt here us) especially when we equalised.
Guest Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 Too many people had come to listen to the songs and not join in. Or perhaps they had come along to watch a game of football?

Daggers Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 Yeah *COUGH* Fecking smoking twats. It may interest some poeple to know that in ciggy smoke there are over 4,800 chemicals, 69 of which are known to cause cancer. Smoking is directly responsible for approximately 90 percent of lung cancer deaths and approximately 80-90 percent of COPD (emphysema and chronic bronchitis) deaths. Shocking. I bet if some people knew this they'd never smoke in the toilets again.

Daggers Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 They should indulge in illicit sex at least they'd only catch one of the STDs on offer. Untrue - if you had unprotected sex in the lavatories of N-block you could (if incredibly unlucky) catch every STD going in one hit...AND have to breath in that disgusting smoke into the bargain. I wonder if anyone is going to fess up to having sex in the toilets during a game?

Not that I need to worry about these things having never smoked in a public toilet as there is no where else to go on more than one occasion.

Mad Dog Posted 14 March 2007 Author Posted 14 March 2007 I was in N Block for the first time yesterday, was a little surprised actually. It's set up ok - just needs more people in there. The problem is that it's impossible to keep a chant going for longer than about 2 minutes? The only way to create a proper atmosphere is to keep standard 'Leicester, Leicester, Leicesteeeerrr, Leicester' etc chant going for a good 5-10 minutes, drowning out the away fans, and it'll get more people sucked in. Was strange that nothing lasted longer than a few seconds.
Leonisco Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 Was in block K last night cos I was offered free tickets in there ( ). The atmosphere was decent, but I'm now convinced it's not as good as N block. Although I have to say from where I was stood N block looked alot smaller than I imagined it would. Were there less people than there were against Cov and West Brom or something?
