Sorry I wern't around to start the match thread. Was in bed, LWICD is my right hand man and at least we didn't lose. I thought we deserved to win in all honesty, but i'm happy with a point. They wern't as good as i thought they'd be.

Blessed by bertfox... not a bad day for me, really.

Big things today were Fryatt's goal and return to looking something like his old self.

And the referees utterly indefensible refusal to give us a penalty. It wasn't as if he was out of position or miles away. Nor was he unsighted. He was staring at the situation and simply refused to give what was in front of his eyes. It makes the game a farce really as have any number of recent penalty decisions by referees.

In fact I'm sick to the teeth with referees being so much the centre of attention and for all the wrong reasons.

The game wouldn't have depended on it. As someone else has said, we'd probably have gone back into our shell - in fact a draw hasn't surpised me and I think there'll be another against Norwich.

It was a valuable point that because especially with our goals difference being worth a point and collecting such a point from the League leaders should have done no harm to our confidence and self-belief.

It was also the result I'd hoped for - enough to help but not enough to prompt any illusions about Kelly.

Kelly "You get disappointments in football as in life...you brush them off and get on with it."

"To come in one nil down against the league leaders but to come out in the second half like that shows everyone what we are really about."

Shock horror from Kelly.

When Hammond has the ball he looks so uncomfortable. He runs with it never looks up and eventually gives it away everytime. Thank God for Matty returning from injury. Although he lacked sharpness at times his touch was decent and showed good strength when he took his goal.

Porter was fairly poor today. Not much support from Maybury but when he had the ball he didn't beat his man and delivery was not good.

Tiatto put in a gutless performance as you would expect from him. Always throwing himself into tackles and very rarely losing them. Got forward a fair amount to and got a shot in. He held us together today and stopped Barnes and Jones really creating that much.

He was strutting around like a Peacock preening himself with yellow cards with Derby being the hen he was trying to lay but ending up fooking LCFC.

Well... Was hoping to come on here after the match and gloat.

But we were poor today.

We really miss Stevie Howard upfront.

Thought you boys should clearly of had a penalty, how the ref didn't see that, I'll never know!

But we've had that luck all season and then to go on teh break and score was quality. If one or two of your players had shown a bit of awareness, one of the four that surrounded him could have dropped off and marked Fagan. But a good finish in the end.

I fully expected us to sit back and do nothing in the second half. We have all season and that's why we've had so many wins by the one goal. 19 out of 23 I think the commentator mentioned.

Yes you were on top in the second half and some of the first but away from home we play like that and hope to exploit the areas on the counter.

Fryatt changed the game.

You never looked like scoring until he came on and his movement completly did Leacock and a good finish followed.

I thought that Tiatto was lucky to be on the pitch after "attempting" to elbow Barnes but thatw as jsut another thing the referee missed. Saying that, am sure you thought that Darren Moore should have been sent off aswell. Although his "elbow" on Hume wasn't really a blatent elbow.

Am disappointed that we didn't get one over on you and set a new club record but saying that, 4 points out of 6 away points in the last two games isn't too bad.

In all, if a side was to win it then I think it was you.

Good post mate. Fryatt did change the game and did cause your centre halves problems. As for the penalty I've watched it on Sky just a moment ago and it's fairly clear to me. Webb watched it all the way, how he didn't give it I will never know. Little things like that change games and as you saw when you scored on the counter attack it's little things like that which could shape our season.

That today was why we've missed Fryatt so much and not had much up front recently.

Defenite keeper (to stay not goalie!) for next season and has showed his quality once again.

well done Matty

Gonna reiterate, not only does Fryatt's skill on front of goal make us look better, but Hume looks a better player with Fryatt up there

Simply not good enough that it takes us 55/60 minutes to start showing the necessary desire and threat to pose Derby problems. I praise the players and the management for the final 30 minutes but for £20 I expect to see that level of commitment from the first whistle.

Wrong, qq plz.

Two things:

1. Worst performance from a ref I can remember seeing, anywhere, ever.

2. We looked so much better when Fryatt came on. We suddenly had ideas and vision, we went from looking League Two to a competitive championship outfit. Well taken goal and there could've been more. I don't think it was entirely him, just the attitude suddenly changed when he emerged. Confidence, invention, self belief and the will to keep the ball grounded. Remarkable. Hope he starts next week.

What happened to Newton?

Has he become another KTC Wing

There's probably time for another two or three wingers yet before the season ends....

I actually wonder if Kelly chooses them himself or gets a list of available wingers from the FA and just pulls one of their names out of a hat.

We should have won today I thought, Derby were happy enough to sit back and we should have taken advantage of that.

Credit to Fryatt today he did change the game around when he came on but my MOTM goes to Tiatto, I thought he was brilliant today.

All that was really required to win this game, and this is potentially the most disappointing factor about today's performance with our pace up front, was to run at their defence. By this I really mean run at Darren Moore. He is technically awful but he must have thought all of his brithday's had come at once with our long ball tactics. I'm actually pretty surprised at how mediocre Derby were. If a neutral had no knowledge of both team's fortunes to date, I'm sure they'd say this was a relegation battle.

We could've and should've used Moore to our advantage. He is good in the air, but very limited technically. But we kept hoofing those long balls up to Hume and Hammond. 90% of them, Moore & Leacock won the headers.

Fryatt changed the game as some already said -- Im glad he got his goal, injuries has ruined his season. But he showed that he does have class after all.

Derby were poor (for their own standards) and at the end a point was fair for both teams. But I was so livid after Webb missed a clear penalty on Kisnobo. And to add salt to the injury, they went up and scored almost immediately.

I'm pretty sure that was the reason Hammond was used, to get at Moore. But when he had the ball he didn't do it enough. The ball was played in the air to them to far to much.

Stearman - bollocks

Porter - bollocks

Hammond - bollocks

Tia-tia-tiatto waged a one man war to earn that point. We've missed him like this over much of the season.

Spot on.

Nice to see a touch of quality from Fryatt with the cut inside and finish. More to come i hope.

Good point against Derby though, think some expected far too much

Humey and Tiatto joint MOM for me Danny sometimes races around like a headless chicken but for someone who is leaving the club at the end of the season his committment couldn't be faulted :thumbup::thumbup:

Great to see Matty back as well..... :worship::worship::worship: the whole team seemed lifted by his appearance, and I'm sure it'll do his confidence a good boost after what has been a pretty forgetable season for him

Looked as though Hume and Tiatto were the only ones trying today, their work rate and effort was great today.

Kelly deserves to be sacked just for constantly playing Stephen Hughes on the right wing for a good part of this season.

So good to see Fryatt on the scoresheet for the first time in a while. Hope there is more to come from him.

Where was the movement today? Shocking.
