It’s crazy that we’ve got someone who’s figures are 2 for 7 from 2 overs, but we’re chucking the game away bowling Walker and Salisbury. Kimber is infuriating!

I don't like being critical, but with the quality at our disposal, we need to be greater than the sum of our parts and Kimber's captaincy currently isn't enabling that.

Very small boundary. As @Staff said, we were short. There was way too much leg side bowling but think that was from the bowlers trying to divert it away from the small boundary. I don’t think anyone has defended anything under 200 at Edgbaston so far this season in the Blast.

 

To a man (except for Scriven) Derbyshire were just better all round.

Yeah they're depth options who will give you a good performance every half dozen games and be poor to average the rest of the time.

 

Disappointing we're having to play both in every game, swap in Hull and Mike and you've got two much more dangerous options. Though Mike is due his bad t20 season. Economy rate by year:

 

24: 9.3

23: 11.6

22: 8.97

21: 12.5

20: 6.9

19: 12.3

Looks like Ben Mike is back in the squad... looking forward to some tight, controlled, miserly bowling 🤞🙂.

Anyone know why Chris Wright doesn't seem to be an option for the Blast? I'd take four overs of nagging line and length over anything else right now, especially after yesterday.

Rishi P. really needs a score too.

It was because of his age and saving him for the CCC, but given he hasn’t played that much, I’d had the same thought as you and that he’d be worth a go. I think he told Richard Rae he’d play T20 if asked a couple of years ago in an interview and I’d be surprised if he’s changed his mind since then.

Would be great to see Mike back in today for Walker, as well as him being fairly handy with the bat. 
 

Feel like today is already a must win.

Need to stop the rot. As someone said last week, though, I'm not sure we've got a great T20 side. We bat deep but I'm not sure we have enough batters who are both quick scoring and consistent in the top 6, whilst the bowling, with the likes of Walker and Salisbury having to play, is sub-standard really. Holland, Ben Green and Hull are big misses.

Feels like such an obvious Cricket Dad thing to say, but we should be hitting the top of off more. Worcestershire have been great against anything angled into them.
