Bat this last session with a maximum loss of two wicket and we can look tomorrow to really build a decent lead. To be ahead in the match so comfortably from where we were overnight is a massive achievement. One of these pair scoring big now ideally.

I think a draw is a good result from here, so plan should be to bat long and avoid getting rolled out early. A good test of whether some of our batters have that in their locker, would love to see Budinger get his first ton off 200 balls today.

This lad can't do anything right. We needed a bog standard ton not a rapid one with box office hitting and boundaries all over the place. Bring back Evans or Azad.

A big knock for us, but hopefully an even bigger one for Budinger. It's clearly a road but his confidence will be soaring and he should be aiming for more tons this season.

Whatever happened to Azad? He was on fire for a short time then disappeared

He's currently a Solutions Engineer with Onyx Insight, a wind turbine monitoring and analytics company.

His average is actually better than Patel and Budinger’s but his issue was always his strike rate. He wouldn’t get into this team. Great guy though, incredibly clever and won’t have any issues outside of the game. I believe he also plays in the Notts league now.

I thought yesterday was our worst day of the season but today has been hands down the best, and there’s been lots of good days. These are the halcyon days, drink it in.

380 odd for 3 from 2 and a half sessions. You'd take that :D

Ridiculous ain’t it lol  when I was a kid going down there it would take a day and a half to score that.

Rehans ashes auditions are going rather way. Gone full bazzball this season!

Honestly think he'd do a better job than Bashir now as a spinner and his batting is really coming on. Exciting to see.

7 other people bowled instead of him, including Patel. Think his 4 day bowling is considered properly part time for now. Nice to see him cashing in with the bat though. Hopefully he can get a big ton before the season is out as that will be a massive boost to his reputation.

Why would his bowling be considered part time in the 4 day stuff?

Less than 6 months ago he was playing fir england as a spinner....

Because 7 others bowled, one of them an opening batsman and several of them spinners. If he's not getting a bowl then, how an earth is he going to push himself into test selection as the spinner ahead of the captain's favourite?

He's got so much potential as a spinner but I'm simply pointing out that despite opinions on Bashir, Rehan is doing absolutely nothing to justify him being England's no 1 spinner atm.

See my reply above. He's simply not bowling anywhere near enough overs to be the number 1 spinner. The runs are going to massively help his case for touring, especially in the sub continent.
