It’s so funny that our front line ‘batters’ got 93 runs between them and our ‘bowlers’ have got 241.

Yes, there need to be changes for the final games; would be good to see Budinger back in, especially after his innings for the reserves. Eskinazi seems totally out of form, and I'm not sure if we can wait/hope for Rishi's one great innings in 7 or 8.

I'd bring in Budinger for Rishi until Hants are mathematically relegated. I'm sure he's totally professional and comes across like a really sensible bloke but he's moving there next year.

Take him out of any hint of playing with a conflict of interest for his and our own benefits.

I’d never question Rishi’s professionalism, he loves the club.

If and when Hull reaches 3 not out in his next dig, he'll move to top of the Foxes 2026 FC Batting Averages (60.50), just ahead of Weatherald (60.37) 💥🐐

You’d think they’d be putting their foot down more than 4 runs per over

could be setting us 250 in 40 overs if they’d been bothered ?

They would be mad to risk losing 8 points with the depth of our batting

They could have made it too tough for us to chase

given them a chance of bowling us out

250 in 40 overs which you suggested would have favoured us much more then them. They are playing again Tuesday and with Tongue and Hutton unavailable why would you risk further injuries .

Nullifying the League Leaders away like that shows we are far from out of place in this league.

Whether we go down or not the turnaround in the last few CC games has been a real positive.

We have shown minerals. Lets see if Essex, Yorks and Glamorgan have the same now the squeeze is on and they are dropping points.

Neither would I, but it would probably be for the best for both himself and us in the circumstances. Especially if they are still alive when we play them.

Would leave him out of the Hampshire game.Puts him in an awkward situation if he gets out to a poor shot drops a catch etc.

Missed the action after lunch as I went to the farce at the KP.

I saw that Patel, Rehan & Gumbs were bowling. I assume that was to get the over rate back under control, was it sucessful & have we avoided a possible points deduction

Yes it was the club confirmed on facebook pretty poor that it got so far behind in the first place if the game was on the line we wouldn't have been able to bowl spin for 40 overs

Exactly why he should be left out. Unfair on the player.

Because let's say Hampshire need 60 to win 3 wickets left and he drops a catch  not a great look is it not that I'm suggesting he would do it on purpose.Always remember a tight match against Glamorgan as a kid in 1986 which went to the wire and one of our players Mark Blackett was fielding for the opposition which happened back then when visiting sides only brought 12 players and he dropped Russell Cobb who was having a rare good innings and looked liked we were heading for a win.Thankfully in a way  we collapsed and Glamorgan won by about 10 runs could have been a very awkward situation. That's why Hamza won't be allowed to play against Warwickshire in a couple of weeks..

I was close just looked up the game lost by 13 and Cobb got 77.Greg Thomas and Rodney Ontong who became a very colourful character both taking 4 wickets..We had a long tail with Agnew at 9 and Wicketkeeper Paul Gill at 10 back when keepers couldn't bat..Remember a Sunday league match when we needed  around 12 off 4 balls and Gill played  forward defence.

I think you are thinking a bit too deeply into it.

1. This happens quite often in cricket I seem to remember Joey evison playing against Nottinghamshire for us whilst on loan for them. Also Sam wood was available to play against us earlier on this season but wasn't being picked.

2. Hampshire are more a less done and dusted they are 32 points from safety with 3 games left - with the way cricket works and September weather it would be a minor miracle if they stayed up from here weather they beat us or not. Especially as they have Nottinghamshire at Trent bridge next.

Sam Wood wasn't available for selection and don't think Joey Evison played  against Notts while on loan.Hamza wasn't eligible to play against Warwicks in the one day cup or the 4 day match in a couple of weeks.
