We are one quality bat short of being a good side I think.

Agreed. I’d really hoped Budinger could become another Patel. Despite the occasional glimpse he just gets out too quickly

Well beaten tonight. Lancs are a stronger, more experienced team. Just move on.

Scary too when you think about how many internationals they'd have in that side most years if the global T20 circus didn't exist.

The Patel wicket was the turning point.  He does have a bad habit of not kicking on.

Awful pricing that.

Can’t make tonight but think my mate got his ticket for a fiver. Can’t beat it, will get plenty through the gates spending more inside the ground.

Not if you can get people paying it. Great that our pricing so low but let's not kid ourselves we would charge £32 if we thought  fans would pay that much which let's be honest it's pretty much a standard price to attend an event these days. Its £35 just to  attend an evening with Ian Botham who's touring atm.

Interesting one at New Road tonight. Notts get one run ahead of the D/L, Hales goes down injured for a few minutes, the rain starts and they go off and win.

Hales.  Say no more.

Was disappointed last night, thought we would win, slow start to our innings, and didn't get going

Swindells coming in for Budinger to open was a little baffling.

Swindells is more of a nurdler of runs than a big hitter.

He likes to play himself in and build his innings, maneuvering the field around.

If they were going to make that change, it maybe would have worked better with Kimber or Ahmed opening with Patel, with Swindells hopefully not needed until after the power play.

Handscombe coming in at 3 I'm also not sure about, because again he's more of a builder of innings, although I suppose he does play the anchor role well, but it just stifles our run rate when we lose the first wicket in the power play.

Mulder has also been very disappointing so far, and his innings on Friday was just plain baffling, with the possibility of rain, and yet no apparent urgency at all from him.

Ben Mike needs dropping, much too erratic and expensive with his bowling, and his batting will come off once every five games at best.

Goldsworthy has been outstanding so far, as has Currie of course.

Josh Hull is a real handful when he gets it right, and a positive work in progress.

Alot may not agree but I'd open with Ben Mike whilst Budinger is not available and move Swindells down the order.

Mike hits a long ball so could be worth a go. Can't imagine him being worse than Lilley who batted at 3 for years for us with sporadic returns. If Budinger is out then only Mike or Kimber are his equal in terms of strike rate in my opinion.

I wouldn't even have Ben Mike in my team.

I would bring back Holland for him.

I doubt those in charge will drop him though.

Mike's economy at 9.68 this season is the clear weak link in our bowling. Next highest is Hull at 8.4 which isn't too bad. Currie is at 8.18 and Kimber at 8 then everyone else impressively lower than 8. Goldsworthy at 5.63!

It's a nice ground also. Decent crowd it only holds about 4k now.

Food and beer was way to pricey though. More than Wembly or Twickenham.

The ticket was as you say about what you'd expect I guess.

Now that Scotland are out of the World Cup we could do a lot worse than looking at Munsey or McMullen to add some top order firepower for the rest of the Blast.

Not sure why it didn't work out with Munsey before at our place.
