The 'Are we not allowed to laugh at Leeds?' thread

Leedsshag? :dunno:

Anyhow, never understood the huge hatred towards Leeds. I mean, unless you are Man Utd or one of the Yorkshire clubs then I would come to terms with it.

Only reason I wish them ill will is because the son of a **** is a manager for them. Apart from that, got nothing else on them.

Soccer AM call them "Dirty Leeds" for a reason. If you were of a certain age you'd know what that reason was.

There's a famous tale of when Brian Clough took over as manager there and told the players to throw their medals in the bin as they'd "only won them through f*****g cheating".

And their fanbase contains a strong thuggish and racist element to this day.

Even without Bates and the poison dwarf, they'd still easily win an award for most reviled club in English football.

Leeds boss 'chased car vandal'

Leeds United manager Dennis Wise has been interviewed by police after chasing a stone-throwing youth.

West Yorkshire Police confirmed a 41-year-old man and a 13-year-old youth had been questioned about the incident.

There had been no arrests or charges and police inquiries were continuing, a police statement said.

Mr Wise jumped out of his car when it came under attack by youths at Potternewton in north Leeds and chased one but could not hold on to him.

Police said they were investigating criminal damage to a car and also an allegation of assault by a 13-year-old boy.

'Very shaken'

Mr Wise was returning from a family meal in a city centre restaurant when the incident happened at about 0100 GMT on New Year's Day.

A spokesman for Leeds United said: "We can confirm that Dennis's vehicle was attacked.

"The police are investigating the matter and Dennis is cooperating fully with their investigations.

"His two children in the car were left very upset and his wife and mother-in-law were very shaken by the incident."

He has been manager of the side for the past 14 months and has steered Leeds into the play-off places in Coca-Cola League One this season, despite the club being hit with a 15-point deduction for breaking strict rules on insolvency after going into administration last summer.

He was probably intimidated. That 13 year old was sure to be bigger than him. :crylaugh:

An entire week without a laugh at Leeds?

Ok, here's for something funny:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/t...ted/7188856.stm

But Wise said: "We're a bigger club than Derby. OK, we're in League One, but why would he (Jermaine Beckford) want to go there?" :giggle:

He amount of shit that comes out of that blokes mouth just seems to keep in increasing in both concentration and volume.Cock, I should of took my chances and belted him one in Oracle.

Another defeat for the dwarf yesterday.

Are the wheels starting to come off Leeds's promotion bid?

On a sidenote, Leeds have tested a lad from my local club here in Switzerland.

Actually, they've had a plentiful of English, Swedes, Argentines and Swiss on trial in the past few weeks.

Still wondering how they're going to afford it.

Paycheck replaced by dough? Nuts.

Yes. Playoffs at best now. Presuming we make the playoffs we'll freeze as we always do in finals.

We're debt free, averaging 27000 crowds, we've got compensation from Poyet and a few youth players too.

Bates also chose to announce next season's season ticket prices yesterday. A minimum of a 10% increase if you renew by the 1st of March, 20% if you renew by April and 27.5% for new buyers and anything after that date- for what looks like League One football. He's killing a generation of supporters. Just when the fans were behind the club again, he prices them out again.

Great way of rewarding the loyal ST holders who paid in advance for their tickets last season without knowing if we were even going to have a club to support. willy puller.

Why do you need a huge thread to moan about MY club on HERE? You could have spent valuable time on Brighton or any other club but no...

1) Its Leeds, Almost EVERYONE hates Leeds.

2) Dennis Wise is your manager someone who almost ruined Leicester City, Not single handedly but he had a part to play in it.

3) Leeds has had such a dramatic demise unlike most clubs, spose you could say Forest have, Man City did but we have picked Leeds.

I'm sure I/We could add many more points if we put our minds to it aswell.

Now I start to realize why no one likes Leeds.

You can't even distinguish between "moaning" and "poking fun at"! :crylaugh:

Brighton would have been good with their new ground will it/won't it situation instead ;)

I feel honoured that you chose us. We're not famous anymore mind.

You can't even write in English or use the correct quotation marks. Ever heard about throwing stones in glass houses?

Assuming you've read the thread, you'll see that a lot of it is in fact moaning.

Ken Bates is a class a twat, how he's got away mugging of your lot so long is beyond me.

That's absolutely disgraceful, someone should step in and stop that.

You've got some compo for Wise too. Hope Dave Bassett spends it wisely :crylaugh:

Now that the dwarf is moving on, could their promotion bid collapse completely? :D

With any luck. :D

Some Leeds fans were on Sky Sports News today. One of them said, "We want a proper Northern manager to take over, like Big Sam".

The fact that Allardyce is actually from the West Midlands had clearly not entered his head.

But he wouldn't be a bad choice for them, assuming he wants to work with "Master" Bates.
