But Warnock is the only realistic choice :dunno:

Really who else can we get to come to an ambitious championship club with great youth prospects, premiership ambitions and facilitys. :dunno:

I mean no-one with any creditdentials is gunna wanna come are they :dunno:

So were gunna have to settle for Warnock because hes 'Realistic' and has an 'Excellent record'

The point is that just because soemthing is said ona couple of occasions it doesnt mean that people should take that and hold it against him years on.

Perfectly said.

In interviews with SU players recently - they all highly rate him: "He is the sort of manager you would die for" is one such quote from Saturday.

Currently, here's a number of players in our squad that I wish would just **** off and die.

I see these two things as being mutually beneficial :D

I don't want players to die for us (I can go and watch Hinckley for that.. ) - I just want them to produce a decent standard of football capable of making us a force in this league.

There's no evidence whatsoever that the arrival of this lowlife will take this club forward.

They’re saying Coleman looks favourite to take over at Shef Utd.

I’m not hugely keen on Coleman but I’d much rather he were to take the managers position at Leicester than Warnock.

I believe MM won’t make the wrong decision. I know he wouldn’t appoint a manager that the fans are so strongly against taking the job.

There is no evidence he wouldn't.. there isn't any evidence any manager would or wouldn't.

Quite a few people are saying that he hates Leicester based on what he said ages ago but common sense tells us that ifhe hated us he wouldnt come here.

If Forest or Cov offered me £500k to manage them I'd take it. Wouldn't change my opinion of them though... :D

According to a poll on another thread, a small majority of users on this forum actually WANT W*****k to come here! :frusty::frusty::frusty:

If Derby a club similar to ours a season before could Tempt someone like Billy Davies away from Preston theres no reason why we can't do the same.

Are you saying Davies then??

If not name the manager of a small team in this league who is doing well and would come here. I'd like to know who you want.

Like who??

At this moment and time, Warnock is the best candidate, Coleman, Ince etc have no experience at this level, MM will want quick results, no matter whoever gets the job, they will be under extrememe pressure to succeed!!!

A small minority?????

Errr 59 votes for and 56 against.

Davies is just a mini-Warnock, a bully who likes to play hoofball with a touch of thuggery thrown in.

I wouldn't want him here either.

But there are plenty of other ambitious young managers, in the mould of Brian Little and Martin O'Neill, that we should be looking at.

I make that a majority of 3.

Do you find maths as difficult as reason to comprehend? :dunno:

I wouldn't mind from this list.

Tigana.

Davies (yes if they dont go up we can get him)

Burley (why not ? Similar club etc)

McCarthy

Simpson

Holloway.

Keegan.

Worthington.

Coleman.

Allen.

Slade.

All could do a better job than Warnock.

And are all reachable if we actually tried.

Why does it have to be someone out of work ?

I think Mandaric seemingly prefers a more vocal and almost flambouyant manager to work with instead of these gritty hard-working types and thats why he got on with Redknapp and why Warnock may well be his type of manager. What I like about Warnocks teams down the years is that he likes his defenders to defend, his midfielders to create and his strikers to score goals. He does like a target man too and has had some ropey ones at Sheff U but the thing is he is happy enough to sign players on to do a job and then get rid. Neil Shipperly was there top scorer last season on 13 goals I think it was and he got punted out after that.

Also its important that we judge Warnock fairly. Its OK to talk about Ferguson when he can spend £20m transfer fees on the likes of Ferdinand, Carrick and the Rooneys of this world but Warnock has never had that luxury and has to wheel and deal like a market trader. Who knows how good he would be if he had a big transfer bounty and was at a big club??! Just because he has kicked it in the lower leagues doesnt mean he couldnt cope. I think that the fact he has managed to keep players at Sheff Utd shows some great man-mangement. The only player that I can think of who was quality at the time to leave was Michael Brown to Spurs and his career has gone backwards. To keep Jagielka, Kenny and Tonge all this time within the second tier should be a sign of his abilities to motivate and inspire. I bet most of teh names I mention leave now that Warnock has gone.

No... I apologise, I read it as minority.

Still, more want him than not so shut it ;)

Arrrrrrrrrgh you don't know they would do a bloody better job!!!!!!!!!

If the top 4 would come here i'd be bloody amazed, i'd like them but it aint gonna happen unless there is a minor miracle. Simpson just took over Davies team. Holloway is a bigger cock than Warnock, Keegan aint interested. The last 3 have no experience in this league... and if Mandaric has any brains he will be after someone with a record at this level.

McCarthy is a funny one, we were linked before and people said no because a) he took sunderland down a) played aggressive football c) was limited in his tactics... remind you of anyone??

Its Mandarics call, HIS MONEY, LCFC belongs to HIM.

Warnocks almost certainly coming, SO GET BEHIND HIM & STOP BITCHING like a bunch of pussies.

WE wanted a high profile manager WELL WERE ARE GETTING ONE!

I CARN'T WAIT !!

I THINK ITS FANTASTIC!!

WARNOCK WILL BE OUR NEW GOD ((GET USED TO IT))

NOW ON YOUR KNEES ALL OF YOU :worship::worship::worship::worship::worship::worship::worship::worship::worship::worship::worship:

McCarthy's record in this division is a good one and i think he has learned from his mistakes with Sunderland because he has signed some good players this time round and taken a fairly average wolves team to the play offs, i wouldnt say no at all.

Holloway jumped at the chance to manage us last time and he's a more likeable bloke than Warnock and just a good a manager.

Keegan might not be interested but hes a better shout and who knows if you dont ask ?

The Top 4 are attainable if we poached, but since were leicester were the prey not the predators.

And the last 3 are the up and coming brigade all have had good careers in the lower leagues and whilst they might be a risk they probably could step upto the plate.

And who says you need championship experience to manage in this division, just ask Roy Keane.

Well, well, well. I wish i'd never started this thread, it's all my fault. Mandaric blatantly reads this forum and Warnock must do. They've decided it would be funny to strike up a dream team and piss the Leicester fans off.

Fez's post has put the mockers on any part of me that thought Neil Warnock coming here would be a good idea. I really hope Mandaric goes after Jean Tigana, he's the man we need.

I know it's a done deal though and we've just got to accept it really. There's no reason why Warnock can't get us promoted and if he's crap then Milan will bounce him out. We all know deep down that this is going to be a roller coaster un Mandaric and that there will be some bizarre decisions along the way.

I'll back Mandaric should he bring Warnock in, but as i've said before. Whether I like a manager or not has fook all to do with whether they should manage Leicester City or not. There is the odd exception here such as Dennis Wise, but anything Warnock has said about us means bollocks all to me. It's not a personal attack, i'm sure we'd have said the same in his position at the time. It's what managers do. Mandaric also slagged us off to high heaven because of Administration.

It's simple. If Warnock comes here, he has to succeed. If he doesn't then Mandaric will have no qualms about getting rid. Ok, so that hardly helps either as it's unlikely we'll be succeeding but it's not the end of the world. Neil Warnock will improve this club fortunes on the pitch. I agree i'd rather we go for someone else, but if we don't and Colin is our man then i'm safe in the knowledge he has the experience to get a team challenging for promotion in this horrible league.

Wilcommen Neil. lol:cry:

Quite a few people are saying that he hates Leicester based on what he said ages ago but common sense tells us that ifhe hated us he wouldnt come here. Wayne Rooney is a Scouser who aer all meant to hate Mancs but he goes off to United and is court on video singing anti-Liverpool songs and Alan Smith, a typical phoney so called die-hard Leeds fan and fans legend goes to Manu and kisses the badge lol! The point is that just because soemthing is said ona couple of occasions it doesnt mean that people should take that and hold it against him years on.

Agree with this. People are giving 'He's a massive Sheffield Utd fan', as a reason why they don't want him. That's ridiculous, he's a professional, not matter what club he 'supports' he'll give 100% while he's here. If you want a decent manager that actually supports Leicester we could be looking for a VERY long time.
