Because apparently Sky Sports have announced it.

I just saw it on sky sports.

Part of a big 'TRANSFER TALK' section... also had Mido saying he regretted his move to spurs etc. The express have said it - nothing to do with sky...

Hope i'm proved wrong but I don't see what people are getting worked up about

The reason I'm getting worked up is because Geoff Peters formerly of Radio Leicester posted it on Fox Fanzine, along with something about Martin Allen being in pole position for the job. He'd not got much of a mention previously, it had all been Coleman, Ince, Warnock, Worthington. And now today there is an official statement on the club website saying we are approaching MK Dons for Allen.

More than yer average rumour IMO.

There are some Cov fans on the rivals site who seem to think Mandaric said on Sky Sports this morning that he has 'secured the services of Lee Hendrie'

Make of that what you want, but why would those mongoloids be reporting that on their site and acting pissed off if it wasn't possibly true? :dunno:

Would be a quality signing if it happens.

For the first time in a while im actually excited about a player coming to Leicester.

Will be happy if we really do land Hendrie, De Zeeuw would be a decent shout... but i dont think we need N'Gotty as well (!) One of the good things about both Milan and Allen (if it is indeed he!) is while the former has great knowledge of players who could do a job for us and are currently playing in europe, Allen should have a very good knowledge of younger players in the lower leagues who could also prove handy... we'll see.

In June 2003, Hendrie received a 12-month driving ban for M40 drink-driving, when he passed a police car over the speed limit on the M40. It was subsequently found that he was 1.5 times over the limit, and banned for twelve months. This was after a June 2000 incident, when Hendrie vowed to become teetotal during the football season after receiving a three-month international ban after breaking a team curfew with the England under-21.[3]

Hendrie married childhood sweetheart Becky in 2004, having had a stag event in Marbella in May where he met Jade Goody. After marrying Becky, the mother of his two children Maizie and Tallulah, the marriage fell apart just hours after their wedding in June, when Becky found he had been seeing lover Emma Cheal, 19. The couple cancelled their £120,000 honeymoon in Mauritius and Hendrie moved out of their £1 million marital home in Solihull to stay with friends.[4]

But Becky took revenge when she found out that he had moved in with Emma. Becky scratched insults on his new £60,000 Porsche Cayenne, which led to Hendrie threatening to sue; and spent upwards of £50,000 on new credit cards. He subsequently left Emma, and had a short fling with Jade.[5]

In October 2004, it was reported that Hendrie was secretly dating 18 year-old Amy Bruce, daughter of Birmingham City's boss Steve Bruce. Hendrie denied it, but when Bruce appeared at a match with cuts and bruises on his face, the rumours escalated. The injuries were sustained, Bruce said, when he confronted two thieves trying to make off with his daughter's Mini. But the matter was never reported to West Midlands Police.[4]

On 21 August 2005 he assaulted Jamie May in Solihull. He was subsequently convicted on 3 March 2006 and ordered to serve 60 hours of community service.[6][3]

Lee Hendrie - The Championship's Joey Barton?:unsure:

Shouldn't they get a manager before they sign players?

Exactly what I thought... not really a wise decision to sign players that might not even fit into the style of play of the new manager! Although I would be pleased to get some of these players in.

Hendrie's brains are clearly placed more firmly in his dick.

He's a cocksure midfielder, and I for one would be delighted with his signing.

Sounds like we've got lift off.

After the Johnson's and the Lows and the Horsfields and the Jarretts at last it sounds like we've got a manager who can recognise a good footballer and a player like Lee Hendrie who goes some way towards proving it.

We don't have a manager yet... it's Milan.

I have met Lee on a few occasions, each of these being in a pub. This says a lot about how often I'm out and possibly how often Lee is out ;)

If the guy is motivated and fit then it would be a great signing as the lad undoubtedly has talent. Let's be honest it's a bit more exciting than signing an Andy Johnson as we did last close season.

Do you have selective memory? Mandaric has said that any potential signings whilst we don't have a confirmed manager will be players that any potential manager at Leicester would like and he'll be running the players past his potential managers first anyway.

So with Allen soon to be in charge, if Hendrie and co are signed up, then Allen will have given his opinion on them already and it's likely he'll be pleased with them.

Arsenal signed Patrick Vieira before confirming Arsene Wenger as manager, but it Wenger had a big say on signing him.

30, 36 and 37? I can see myself dreading this season already. There's old, wise heads and then there's taking the piss.

Lee Hendrie being neither of the above mentioned. :D
