Why do the 'proper' papers (ie Times,Guardian) Believe that the Olympics will be the greatest thing that has happened to the UK?? Please let us mere mortals who only read 'tabloid' papers know how this great event will have a positive effect on us all.....especialy those that live 100+ miles away from London!!! P.S on a lighter note,the logo does indeed look like Lisa Simpson giving a BJ!!!!

The logo has to be able to adapt and fit into many different types of use. From cups for drinks to the stadium walls and official merchandise. In my opinion the tabloid media is on a mission to trash the London Olympics and put the boot in at every possible opportunity. Quite why I dont really understand. They go on about chavs and youth crime etc, well for the first time in years we have a huge sporting event in this Country. And with 5 years to go it will be the teenagers of today that will be the gold medalists of 2012. Any young boy or girl Nationwide with talent for a huge range of sports has been given a huge goal and opportunity. There will also be opportunities for voluanteers, and of course the disabled will feature in the para olympics. The Olympic games is the World's largest sporting event. It's coming to the UK and we should be proud and positive, not negative and critical.

What they should have is a picture of a woman who is doped up on steroids and started to developed male bodily characteristics such as facial hair and a penis. This would clearly give an indication of what reflects the games.

If its a country event why is it LOndon this,London that...has anyone other part of the country got a mention??? more importantly there will be ANOTHER Stadium in London gathering dust(remember the Millenium DOME!!!) Proud and positive--I was when we won it,not so now i realise the people behind it are inadequate in running sucha vast event....should have let the Germans do it instead!!! Gold medals---Uk????

Now that you mention it, if you squint a little and rotate some of the numbers pieces of the jigsaw, you can just about make out that word. You really have to be looking for the word to find it, though... I wouldn't have found it myself. Whoever did find it themselves is trying way too hard.

It will be the taxpayers who kop for the bill,which by the way will probably be x2 or x3 what Lord Coe said it would be. To pay £400 000 for that is a fooking disgrace. Saw that on SSN. The logo/brand was funded privately, not through tax payers money.
