teblin Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 Cort goal scoring record at wolves was about 1 in 3. Not that bad really.
Ric Flair Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 Cort goal scoring record at wolves was about 1 in 3. Not that bad really. It isn't bad, but he's 30 in November and hasn't even clocked up 200 games yet. Which considering he made his debut for Wimbledon aged 18, he's averaged about 15 games a season for 11-12 years. Horrific record really.

Ric Flair Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 Is that just down to injuries? Injuries and loss of form I imagine. The 2004/2005 season he did play about 40 games and scored about 18. So he does have the ability, but years and years of injuries take their toll. I think there are better free transfers out there.

Ultra Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 *sighs*Anyone reckon the Milan-Revoluton will turn into a whimper? I hope not. I hope not as well. But the cheque book will have to be deployed sooner rather than later. Has-beens and cast-offs will not turn our squad into promotion contenders.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 Yeah, like Paul Dickov, Brian Deane, Billy McKinlay and Nicky Summerbee. Oh, wait.

Stevosevic Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 Yeah, like Paul Dickov, Brian Deane, Billy McKinlay and Nicky Summerbee.Oh, wait. Although Summerbee was quite poor.
Father Ted Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 Bobby Robson: The £7.5 Million Pound Mistake -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the early days of managing Newcastle, Bobby Robson saw Jason Euell playing upfront for Wimbledon and thought he was a fantastic player. But Bobby Robson is not very good with names and tells his scout to make enquires about the young black lad, England under 21 player, who plays upfront for Wimbledon. The only problem was that Wimbledon had moved Jason Euell back to midfield and put Carl Cort up front for Wimbledon, who is also a young black lad and England under 21 player. So the scout comes back and asks Bobby Robson if he wants to put a bid in for Carl Cort and Bobby Robson says yes put a £7.5 million pound bid for the young black lad, England under 21 player, who plays upfront for Wimbledon. Now Jason Euell is arguably a much better player than Carl Cort and maybe worth £7.5 million pounds but Carl Cort is not worth that much, so when Wimbledon received a bid of £7.5 million pounds for Carl Cort, they could not sign fast enough. So after a short while, Bobby Robson finds out that he has bought the wrong player but hasn't let it out yet. MC Prussian Posted 8 June 2007 Posted 8 June 2007 or hes turned us down As if he could decline such a promising offer from a club on the rise...
He's not bald Posted 8 June 2007 Posted 8 June 2007 The Carl Cort rumour just does not seem to go away, so I'm guessing that there is some truth in that. I'll give him a chance hear, hopefully by bringing him in on a free this will allow us to spend more on another striker. Can't say I know anything about John Haynes That the geezer that writes car manuals?
Thracian Posted 8 June 2007 Posted 8 June 2007 Allen clearly believes in 19-year-old winger Hayes but if he's right then it is strange that Reading manager and ex-International winger Steve Coppell didn't share his views. No points for MA as yet, just one to wait for and see.

No points for MA as yet, just one to wait for and see. The lad was on the verge of breaking through when they walked the league and then got promoted. His chances have been limited because they have done well and they haven't had any major injury crisis. The MK Dons fans seemed more upset at losing him than they did McLeod.
