I do understand where you coming from though, after all we all love the game and i'm sure everyone would love to play a full 90 if they could.
Finnegan Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 I'd personally say no to both suggestions. I'm definitely not trucking a two hundred odd mile round journey and losing a weekend for five a side. I play enough five aside to kill a man already. I also like the age restrictions, though they are and were more guidelines than ought else. I'm bang on 21 and Alex is actually 20 so we did have some flexibility. As it is, though, you seem to be the only person here bothered and comitted that didn't come last time - no doubt we'll be trying to twist Cobbo's arm, other than that we'll probably have a spot for you. But if you're not 21, no matter what date it's set on, there's bound to be lads that won't or can't turn up so you'll almost certainly get on either team. My vote goes to early August, btw, so the 4/5th is fine for me.

Lets see how many put their name down on the team sheet. If there are too many players to make it practical, we can then decide in a democratic manner the best way to manage the issue in hand.

I'm gratefull to everyone who came down to support the game and actually made an effort, and seeing as the line needs to be drawn somewhere in terms of how many players are in each team then I think what you suggested is fair enough. Not that it really makes any odds as far as our team is concearned, but if people who played last time aren't given priority I'm not coming, there you go, that actually is childish. You said it!
