brookfox Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Have to hold my hands up and admit I know nothing about him... http://swanseacity.rivals.net/default.asp?...mp;stid=8451775
Fez of Mahrez Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Would be well up for this. Very lively wide player who can score goals from distance. Would have impressed Allen in the past playing for Swansea.
Stevosevic Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Left sided, about 29 i believe? So should be in his peak.
Cheese Me Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Sorry. Just never heard of the guy. Don't mean to be implying anything negeative, merely surprise.
Solihullfox Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Bit ignorant. Yeah, the guy is the former England Eggchasers head honcho
Fez of Mahrez Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Robinson Didn't realise his goalscoring record was that good. 30 goals in 131 games is something extremely special for a midfielder.
brookfox Posted 22 July 2007 Author Posted 22 July 2007 I like this bit "and also the free-kick specialist". We've not had a decent free kick / corner taker since Muzzy left.
Cheese Me Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Hmm. Overlooked and released by Tranmere, missed lots of football with suspensions doesn't sound great. Still, a goal every five games is a good return from midfield...
City Lad Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Andy Robinson was the find of the season when he signed for the club at the start of the 2003-04 campaign. The former non-league striker had been on Tranmere's books for six months without getting a first team game, so few expected great things when he joined Swansea on a free transfer after a successful trial period. Yet by the end of his first season, the hard working midfielder was not only a Swans regular, but the club's Player of the Year. He has been a consistent performer ever since and ended the season with an impressive 18 goals, including some spectacular free kicks. Swansea Site
dandannieldanok Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Not sure about this to be honest, if we get him for £250,000 I won't be too bothered but if he is a good as his stats are, it begs the question as to why nobody at this level has already taken a punt on him, he is 29 after all.

dandannieldanok Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Erm, no he's not. Ok embarrassing mistake, hands up, but I still wonder why nobody has already taken a punt on him at this level.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Ok embarrassing mistake, hands up, but I still wonder why nobody has already taken a punt on him at this level. Valid question. I'm not too sure really. I think Swansea have rejected bids from Championship clubs before but obviously none of them have followed it up strongly. Hopefully more of a Matt Elliott situation than a Josh Low situation.
Mark Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Looked a very good player but I haven't seen him since the playoffs last year and according to their rivals site he didn't play well last season. If he's left sided he might be worth a go. Midfielder, back in the day a goal scoring midfielder. However his goals dried up last season, was unfit and struggled to last 60 minutes. Kind of off-putting
lee7 Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Left sided, about 29 i believe? So should be in his peak. 27
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 I've suggested him as a potential signing loads of times. Very good player.
Daggers Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 I've never heard of him. Wait. That's not true - we were like brothers. We flew together during the war over Macho Grande. I'll never get over Macho Grande.
Mickey O'Neil Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Can see him being a squad player......fine with me though. Just leave your goal celebration in Wales mate!
Guest Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 I know nothing about the guy but on the right hand side of the linked page there's apoll about whether they should sell him and 57% voted yes which i think might be a bad sign
