CanaryNathan Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 Hey everyone, did sign up on here quite a while back - havent been on here for a long time though so incase any of you dont remember me.. You can call me Nathan, I'm 16 and from South Wales.. - I support the Canaries! - Needless too say.. How do you lot feel for the coming season? - Personally I think you'll be atleast play offs, you have practically bought a whole new team! As for us.. I think we are capable of play offs.. but will have to fight. Hope to see you all around the forum!

I'd say we're realistically aiming for a play off place for once, although i'd be happy enough with a top half finish. The same for you I think, looking forward to seeing how the loss of Earnie affects you though.
The People's Hero Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 Can't see a good season for your boys I'm afraid. Good luck though. ps Mk DONS are a joke, aren't they?

I don't think Norwich will but I have been wrong before. A lot! BTW - don't write in bold. Or CAPS (not that you have yet) - our admin will be onto you Take it Welsh footy is not for you then..
Raj Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 To the Greatest fans in the World...Where are you...where are you!!!!???

The same for you I think, looking forward to seeing how the loss of Earnie affects you though. Same here, after all neither of us can do worse than we did last season, right?! Same, but I think we have improved on the areas we was struggling with last season now, other than CB, and have 2 decent replacements for Earnshaw. So fingers crossed.. Can't see a good season for your boys I'm afraid. Good luck though. ps Mk DONS are a joke, aren't they? Well, Im 90% sure we will do a hell of a lot better than last year, so anything as lildave3 said top half half or better will be a good start. Trouble is this year is that there are a lot of good teams and 2/3 of the bad ones from last year have stengthened a hell of a lot. And from me, personally I have nothing against them to call them a joke, but if you mean playwise - yes.

Nope - hate cardiff and swansea, mainly because theres alot of their fans around here and you get a lot of stick! nothing against Wales as the country but im more interested in England...........
CanaryNathan Posted 26 July 2007 Author Posted 26 July 2007 To the Greatest fans in the World...Where are you...where are you!!!!??? Haha... dont remind me...
Monk Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 My housemate is a Norwich fan, and I do have a bit of a soft spot for them, but to be honest I think they will be in the upper reaches of the bottom half of the table next year. Not enough signings, lost your main target man. Good luck, but I think you will struggle to make the top half once again. And don't ever say you cant do worse than you did last season. It'll just jinx you like it did us! You could do a lot lot worse.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 I bought a Norwich fanzine out of interest once and it had a "Spot The Twat" competition. And it was a picture of the Ipswich Town squad, and it said at the bottom: "Clue - there may well be more than one twat."
Geo V Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 No offence mate but I said on another thread that I cant see you being much more than a mid-table side now that you sold both Etuhu and Earnshaw. I cant wish your club ill because its a harmless one and Ive always though your fans were alright when we went into the local boozers after or before a match but as for this season, you want finish higher than 10th IMO!
Joe. Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 I don't think Norwich will do too badly. They have lost key players, but I think they've replaced them fairly well. I reckon they'll finish mid table.
CanaryNathan Posted 26 July 2007 Author Posted 26 July 2007 Yes Monk, I probably have cursed us now! apexego - As Joe just said I know we have sold 2 of our key players but we have seemed to have replaced them with more than capable players. not enough signings? - to be fair we have signed 6 new players and loaned one, also rumoured to be getting another defender and a midfielder. TBH If you look at the last 2 seasons, we have ended pre season, full of pessimistic supporters, people wanting the manager out, no new faces and lost 3 key players including dean ashton - yet we still come 9th one season and mid table the next? This season we have quite a bit of optimism about us, new manager, new hope, a decent team and good results all through pre season! IMO we cant do any worse from that, but as you said never say never.. time will tell, good luck to leicester though - my boss supports them!
mancunianfox Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 I used to live in Norfolk for a while...not a big Norwich fan. Despite my bias though I can't see Norwich improving on last season. Manager looks a bit dodgy, bad financial situation, signings not great and important players have been lost. I think 16th would be a realistic finish for the canaries with 12th being a good finish. Oh, and Ipswich will finish above you
CanaryNathan Posted 26 July 2007 Author Posted 26 July 2007 How do you work that out, then? Ipswich, are in the same boat as us, but havent signed any decent players, and they have had 2 ex players who were given away for free for being bad and their dumb enough to get them back - and their 30/40Million in debt, so a lot worse off than us considering we're only 10/12 and we actually have the money to sort that out. also Ipsh!t dont even own their on ground fgs! roll on next season.... OTBC
mancunianfox Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 also Ipsh!t dont even own their on ground fgs! Neither do we and we'll still finish above your lot.

OTBC Good luck next season to your lot. As has been said, it will be interesting to see how you cope without Earnie, although you got a good price for him.
Stevosevic Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 Neither do we and we'll still finish above your lot. Where abouts in Norfolk did you live mancunian fox?
Finnegan Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 nothing against Wales as the country but im more interested in England...........
mancunianfox Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 Where abouts in Norfolk did you live mancunian fox? Lived in Hunstanton for four years before leaving to study in Manchester.
Daggers Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 nothing against Wales as the country but im more interested in England........... How do you like living abroad?
CanaryNathan Posted 26 July 2007 Author Posted 26 July 2007 Cheers Ched - good luck to Leicester too. It will certainly be interesting, though I think we are still more than capable or if not better off, as we was relying on him to do everything upfront last season. Atleast now the rest will have a kick up the arse and get stuck in. Seems half the squad actually want to be here now too... Mancunionfox - I believe you will! - but Ipsh!t wont! Daggers - Never have lived abroad mate, but dont really fancy it! means I wouldnt get too as much games as I could be going too back in GB

CanaryNathan Posted 26 July 2007 Author Posted 26 July 2007 Oh... thought he meant living out of UK. Well its OK, its a nice enough area though alot of the people are tw@ts. Think id' much rather live in England though!
