And the cigarette would be on.... FIRE!

Well done, you got there eventually.

#Aha - I see where you are going with this, Mr.The Hat...you are using the modern interpretation of the word fire.

I, of course, was referencing the 14th Century word fyrre - to which is associated the likke of flayme.

Why are you all going on that JFH and Allen dislike each other? Where does it say that?

no it's Milan and Allen who disagreed on something, maybe wages, so they sent Jimmy home for now so they can sort their argument out and Jimmy may go back today or in a few days

Yeah, why would he say in the paper "we are still light in a few areas" and then approach a top quality (if a bit old) striker, have a medical and then say "oh, bollocks to it, I'm not sure whether I like him as a person!"

MA wants a quality championship chasing team, not an interesting addition to his wife's book club.

JFH has fire in his belly.

But then, I'm a lucky man, with fire in my hands.

Who can best solve our striking crisis?

Is it a crisis?

Discuss with reference to the current concern over the dwindling number of African elephants which seem to be actively reproducing. (8).

i think there is a bit of crisis as we have too many strikers now and Allen maybe chopping and changing the starting 2 all the time which won't work, and i think the only real one who may score 15+ goals this season is Dj but he didn't start against Blackpool so will he against Palace. I think Allen should start the same two up front for 3 or 4 games so they get used to playing with eachother and maybe then they will both start to score goals. And Allen should only put 1 striker on the bench, 2 midfielders, kepper and defender.

I'm amused that my post attracted a sensible and fairly reasoned response.

I'm also staggered that maddog came up with something which isn't complete bollocks.

That said - there is no crisis. Snap out of it.

Let's not cry over spilt milk, nor mis-directed semen (I'm looking at YOU Knighton 'sprayer' Matt).

One of my old flatmates was a deliberate mis-director and used to rub it in to the carpet with his foot
