Micky Ruddle Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 Yes Mad Dog. Fair play to the gaffa. I wouldn't mind Riordan though
Flynny Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 Not true.Club and player can agree to go through a medical at any time, deal or no deal. No deal, Noel.
Brainy Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 He won't go that far, but it's not looking good for Allen now. Milan Mandaric's view of things: Allen standing up to him = -3 pts New total = 0.5 pts.
Master Fox Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 Glad its off. Well done to Martin Allen for standing up to Milan. Bollox, Anyone want to buy a cut price season ticket? I really don't think i can endure watching MDV and Hume play every week.
Flynny Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 Bollox,Anyone want to buy a cut price season ticket? I really don't think i can endure watching MDV and Hume play every week. I'll give you a tenner for it.
Simi Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 No deal, Noel. "Now, lets try and keep the £250,000 hidden" "Box 12 Noel" " "
Flynny Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 Done.Paypal? I was thinking catapult, but that works.
The People's Hero Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 I was thinking catapult, but that works. You can have a lend of mine if you like. Just help me remove JFH from the firing load bay.
Flynny Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 You can have a lend of mine if you like.Just help me remove JFH from the firing load bay. How'd you get a giant fucking ape-man like him onto it in the first place? No offence intended, obviously.
Chrysalis Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 We know MM isnt scared to sack managers and this wont have helped allen, I feel allen would have been better allowing the transfer through and just not playing him if he wasnt confident in the player, if the deal included garuantueed games for hasselbank (unlikely) then I can clearly see why allen may have blocked it.
Geo V Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 So the deal is now dead?! MM gets him up there, MA says not thanks and the rest is history!
Dr The Singh Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 So the deal is now dead?! MM gets him up there, MA says not thanks and the rest is history! It's just the beginning, this love trist will have more gaping holes in it's plot then eastenders!!!
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 So the deal is now dead?! MM gets him up there, MA says not thanks and the rest is history! How do we know this tho??? 'sources close to the club'???
Geo V Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 It's just the beginning, this love trist will have more gaping holes in it's plot then eastenders!!! I think that too much has been made of MM trying to almost tell MA what to do with this deal and others. MM should almost be our chief scout with the amount of footballing contacts he has and its a bonus to the manager if he is advised of the availability of players whether its freebies like Lisbie, JFH or Morfaw or whether he knows of decent players available from abroad. However, I think people are over-reacting in thinking that its down to MM and he is at loggerheads on deals with MA. He backed him to sign DJ instead of Fowler and has backed him over JFH. In Italy and Spain, the owners would be recruiting the players for the club and the managers job is to manage the personnel! Thats not happening here as yet so lets not all jump to conclusions!
Dames Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 Kinda glad he ain't coming in the end. He was good 2 years ago but he's 35 and age has caught up with him pretty well, At times last season he looked dire. In typical Leicester Fan fashion we look to be getting someone or getting someone who was good a few years back and we go on like were signing one of the best players ever. Then they end up like Martin Keown or Andy Johnson. Only Les Ferdinand in recent years was decent enough. He's just a big name with a big attitude to match it, he wouldnt like sitting on the bench and would also probably disrupt the changing room if he was there against the managers wishes not to mention he can't keep his gob shut either. Were good enough with what we have and with 4 really good young prospects in Odihambo, Sappleton, Chambers and McKay i really don't think we need another striker.
Jon the Hat Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 We know MM isnt scared to sack managers and this wont have helped allen, I feel allen would have been better allowing the transfer through and just not playing him if he wasnt confident in the player, if the deal included garuantueed games for hasselbank (unlikely) then I can clearly see why allen may have blocked it. You have clearly never worked for someone like Milan. If he wanted a yes man he would have got one. Milan will respect a manager who stands up and says "I don't want him" If he said yes then ignored him for a year Milan would have wasted £1m (or whatever) wouldn't he?
