Flexx Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 News of the world story It's been 2 games FFS! Give him a chance. Neil Warnock sounds tempting though, I always wanted him as manager from the start.
Sparky Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 hope its a load of bullocks . 2 games gone ! good performance yesterday and because allen didnt want a 35 year old has been mm wants him out ?? ffs
syston_fox Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 Its just lazy journalism as per usual from the NOTW
Southern Fox Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 Agree it's lazy. To be fair unless we miles clear of the top of the league this season we will get this most weeks im afriad. Comes with the territory of having MM at the helm. I didnt read past first sentance
Mort Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 Sounds like utter bollocks to me! And totally unhelpful after what was a decent performance (still can be improved on of course!) yesterday.... thankfully it smacks of little more than lazy journalism, Dickov please!!! If we're turning down pensionable players like JFH and Fowler (righting IMHO) we're hardly going to pick up a player like Dickov at the age he is now...
Suffolk_fox Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 Lazy journalism and indeed poorly written. I think there may have been a falling out, but I don't think it would merit MA going. Surely, he would have quit by now!?! Nuff said I think......
MBK Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 There is pressure to get results no doubt, but we'll get in our stride. This team is still operating without 2-3 critical components especially Ka'abi, Chambers, and in my humble opinion Fryatt.

davieG Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 How much rubbish can you put into one article? MARTIN ALLEN could quit as Leicester boss after a bust-up with chairman Milan Mandaric. Allen, the volatile former Brentford and MK Dons boss, signed a three-year contract only in May and has since signed 14 players in a bid to keep alive Mandaric's dream of a return to the Premier League. Yet Allen, 42, pulled out of the chance to land striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink — after Mandaric had spent weeks enticing the Dutchman to join the Foxes and agreed a £20,000-a-week deal. Pressure Allen felt the hitman, released by Charlton this summer, was not fit enough and the 35-year-old joined Cardiff instead. Now the fall-out may lead to the end of Allen's short spell in charge. Leicester kicked off the new season with a home defeat to Blackpool and the pressure is on Allen to produce. Former Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock is currently out of work and could be approached by Mandaric to take over at short notice.TBNeil Warnock and Paul Jewell are being target by Leicester City with Martin Allen is set to leave the midlands club after a major fall out with chairman Milan Manderic. The volatile former Brentford and Mk Dons boss Allen only signed a three year contract in May and has since signed a dozen players in a bid to set alive Manderic's driving desire for a return to the lucrative Premiership. But the rumblings, evident from the start, came to a head over the failed transfer of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and word is out from inside both manager's office and the Board Room that Mad Dog's short stay is over. We understand that Jewell has already declined an approach and Warnock, equally explosive, now tops a list which includes Early season runners also include Paul Ince, who took over from Allen at MK Dons, and Ian Holloway at Plymouth. Leicester, desperate for some fire-power, are now ready to turn to former player Paul Dickov on a short term contract now he is out of favour at Manchester City. Evident from the start - WTF Warnock - MM has already stated he wouldn't have him against the fans wishes Paul Ince - Yes he's really burning up League 2 Dickov - Funny Every LCFC/MM/MA cliché they could put in one article, I'm surprised they haven't suggested Allen trying to woo his way back into MMs good books with a bunch of Blue & yellow flowers.
MBK Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 woudn't mind dickov! But that's what's so wrong at the moment. Everyone thinking each player out there will improve us when we have some pretty good players ourselves.
Phube Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 its a load of bullocks. Quite... any one know how Fowler and Jimmy are doing at Cardiff??
Stevosevic Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 Quite... any one know how Fowler and Jimmy are doing at Cardiff?? Havn't played yet, Fowler injured and Jimmy is unfit.
Zingari Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 maybe its rubbish but there was some good links on that page ; britney is a lesbian , amy winehouse a sex addict plot to murder rooney and becks i'm off to get a copy
maddog Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 That better be crap. Sacking Allen will piss off all the fans and i think Neil Warnock is shit anyway. I rekon if Allen does leave in next week or so we will end up getting relegated. There is no use in getting rid of him, he is the best manager we have had since O Neil in my view. At least he tries to win the matches while Kelly and Levein would have done nothing until 80 minutes in the 0-0 with Blackpool and we probably would have lost or drawn the game. At least Allen went out for the win and played 4-3-3 and i can't believe there is another article from a different paper saying he could be leaving. Please say it's not true.
Ultra Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 It's an old story. Mandaric killed it off days ago. Don't pay any attention to it at all.
ibbosuk Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 name='Crouch.' date='Aug 19 2007, 09:00 AM' post='718200'] Neil Warnock sounds tempting though, I always wanted him as manager from the start. Yes so did I, Don't you worry, Milan will be making contingency plans to boot this Duff Cockney if he does not dramatically improve things over the next 6 - 8 games! BIG MISTAKES SO FAR 1 Playing Mattock! = DUFF COCKNEY 2 14 players signed no one to play on the left! = DUFF COCKNEY 3 A stack of forwards who carn't hit a barn door = DUFF COCKNEY 4 VERY BORING brand of football "watching paint dry" = DUFF COCKNEY Mr Allen if you are reading this I will put it in words that you can UNDERSTAND. Well " me old china" you better get your micky mouse in order bythe time we play Sheff Utd at home (Top 6) or Mr Allen you likely to get your Rolf Harris booted down the Apples And Pears and out the Henry Moore.... cos at the minute you dont look like you've got a Danny LaRue!!

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 Mandaric has the fans of City at his heart and will only boot Allen out if we are in serous trouble (which we're not). Mandaric had so many candidates to choose from at the end of the season, and out of all of them he chose Allen, meaning he was impressed by what he had to offer. Why would he sack a manager within two league games who has genuine potential adn passion, and, not forgetting, talent! I know that Milan is impatient, but this is unbelievable. It just goes to show that the NOTW will make up any old clobber just to sell a few more copies of their shitty little rag.
Ultra Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 They've not made it up - just dredged it from some rumours doing the rounds last week. Couldn't be bothered to check out the truth, probably because half their staff are on their summer hols...
Geo V Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 Just expect these stories whilst Mandaric is in charge! He is very media friendly and with always seemingly being around to give his opinions, the tabloids take advantage and print all sorts as some of could be deemed believable.
Frenzied Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 It's News of the World. Don't read it. It's Bollocks.

Agree. It's frustrating how they've managed to create what looks like a proper story from something that the teaboy probably mentioned last week.
