Ozwin Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 This is a disrace. If we get fooking Glen Roader ot Ian Dowie or some quiet peice of piss with no heart I'm going to go ballistic. I'm seriously gutted, he was the best thing to happen to this club in years and now he's gone. Looks like MA's thoughts and opinions hurt poor ol' MM's massive ego. >_> How's this going to help the players too? Ugh, unless we appoint some legendary proven manager, this club is in the **** again.
lookwhaticando Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Stunned. I know it has been rumoured for weeks now... and even just this morning there was an entry in the ol' gossip column... but I never genuinely believed that even Milan Mandaric would swing the axe this early. I guess the bookies were just about right when they had Allen pinned at number two favourite for the sack. I was so looking forward to cheering on an Allen team later in the year... fook knows whose team it'll be by the time I make it to a game.
lookwhaticando Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Goodbye and farewell to one of the most successful Leicester managers in recent times. Played: 4 Won: 2 (50%) Drawn: 1 Lost: 1
Ricey Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 I'm seething, I literally can't believe this. Who the **** does Milan think he is. As Chairman he should have the clubs best interest at heart, just because they don't get on does not mean that you just sack him. No matter what has gone on you DO NOT sack a man who has done a fantastic job so far. We will not find a better manager in our current situation than Martin Allen. Milan is out of order, i'm fuming. As Leicester fans we should do all we can to make Milan realise what a bad decison this is.

Ozwin Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Anyone for a riot tommorow? We could go and bang on the doors and ruffle some papers up and stuff. It'd be great!
Phube Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 This is RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sacking a man after winning a game 4-1!!??? WTF!!! Joke! Embarassment? Pointless? Sooooo sh*t!!!!! WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY????
Bryn Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 I think all of you that can should go and protest at the stadium tomorrow and then sing wholeheartedly in support of Martin Allen before (but not during) the game on Saturday.
Leicester Lass Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 I think all of you that can should go and protest at the stadium tomorrow and then sing wholeheartedly in support of Martin Allen before (but not during) the game on Saturday. God damn having to go back to college tomorrow!!! I'm all for showing the support BEFORE the game on Saturday though.
B195 Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 This is ridiculous. It has made me really disillusioned about the club at the moment. For me it wouldnt matter if we appointed Alex Ferguson tomorrow, i would still be disappointed. How Martin has been treated is just not right.
The Bear Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Mandaric is a power crazy mad old fool with too much money. I hate all this 'mutual consent' bollocks. Just say it like it is - He was sacked because he wouldn't toe the Mandaric line. If Mandaric wanted him there, he'd still be there. Trouble is, you could see it coming as soon as Allen was appointed. They were always going to clash. You could also see this sort of thing as soon as Mandaric took over. He did it time and time again at Pompey and went through managers like underpants. How many managers did he appoint/sack before he got lucky with Redknapp? That said, if I was a Leicester fan I'd rather have Jewell or Warnock managing the club than Allen.
Raj Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Im gonna get hammered here, but being Devils Advocate,if MM realised he made a mistake, surely its better to get rid of him sooner rather than later? We don't know the facts of whats been happening behind the scenes,at the moment we are all taking MA's side but it's MM's money and he needs us to be successful as much as anyone else. I liked MA too,but perhaps MA should have concentrated just on team affairs than interfering with other issues!(ie trying to win the fans over with daily OS bulletins!) But again,LCFC is a laughing stock in the footballing world. But its never quiet being a City fan is it!??????
Gené and Tonic Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 The servers collapsing.. If we get Warnock so help me god..
Chairman of the Bored Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Ridiculous timing. Still not sure Allen was the man to take us forward, but not chuffed at another period of upheaval. Rumours and facts about Mandaric's "miliitant tendency" and dummy out of pram chucking capacity clearly proven. Heaven help us. Come back John Elsome, all is forgiven! Well, maybe not....
City Fan Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 The servers collapsing.. It always does when more than about 9 people try to access it at once..........
adam Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Gutted. Absolutely gutted. Finally had a bloke who had a spot of passion and we go and sack him. Dont think we would of sold our allocations at Accrington or Forest with a clown like Roeder in charge.
Nick Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Jewell is only guy that can take slight edge off the anger i'm feeling right now!! I didn't want Allen to go. He went because Milan wants to go up this season without fail. Allen had a team full of newbies and a bit of realism. Milan was no longer interested in the 3 year plan....... Jewell - Don't like his football much. Big name though. And was on SSN in the week stating he was enjoying his leave but could return to football management next week...... Roeder - No thanks The Truth, the one Milan wanted in the first place but didn't want to pi*s off the fans. Your favourite everybody, the man who labled us cheats, your favourite, the lovely, the charismatic, Mister Neil WARNOCK !!!!! Man's a dick (a funny dick) but he'll do a job here. Nick has posted.
MBK Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 The servers collapsing..If we get Warnock so help me god.. An open letter from the forum to the club is a good idea. Daggers, Thracian. It must be sensible and to the point. Petition someone setup can be attached to it.
The Bear Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 I liked MA too,but perhaps MA should have concentrated just on team affairs than interfering with other issues!(ie trying to win the fans over with daily OS bulletins!) Or maybe Mandaric should have concentrated on being Chairman instead of buying players that Allen obviously didn't want (Hasselbaink) or had never even seen (Kaebi).
Ozwin Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Anyone remember at the start of all this? We were shocked about the choice yet MM was adamant he was the right man. Now look at him, making this club look like a joke.
Leicester's 12th Man Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Reoder - Out after 2 months (poor results) Warnock - Out after a game (stand up to MM) Jewell - Out after 7 matches (stad up to MM)
