I do this. I always imagine Alf Bentley's posts with Brian Blessed's voice.

You're probably not a million miles out there, just not quite as big, beardy, loud, fruity and loveyish!

Nah, being thought of as older over the Internet is always a compliment.

Remember when Col City went mental as someone thought he was 17.

That was me again

Anyway of course I know MattP isn't pushing 50, no one pushing 50 sinks jagerbombs in that fashion.

Will let you know but It's possible I'll be in for a quick game of pool. Either there or in the Black Horse afterwards I think as I'm staying around Braunstone Gate for the evening.

There is a Halloween party at the Kings Head same night. It;s fancy dress so come as you are Matt. :)

The Kings Head?

The customers should just come as they are and the pub could go as the job centre.

It is used by a few office workers and lawyers who take their work in there. A few solicitors along New Walk.

It's a nice pub, I had one of the ciders that was on last time I was in, was called Badgers Bollocks or Angus Arse or something, was about 8%. £3.80 not bad.

They are starting a beer and poker night from November 3rd (Mondays). I meant to put the details in the poker thread. The emphasis will be on the enjoy yourself side. No big money £2.50 entrance with 50p going to Wishes for Kids. There is going to be games at 5pm and 7.30pm. Payouts dependent on number of players. The rest info like organisers email I'll put up in the poker thread.

Think Poker has peaked in Britain now, was huge ten years ago, even had games going in the locals around here.

£2.50 is far too low as well, Got to be £10-20 to make a poker night remotly interesting.

Just had a meal at San Carlo's, very nice and although not cheap, not a rip off either. Cheese, garlic and coffee, I've got breath like a Frenchman's armpit.

Good do at the Addies for my brothers bithday bash. I kept being asked what was in the parcel I gave him. All my family came down from the Lake District.

There was even a roulette and black jack table there. We had a token to exchange for chips. Best I got up to was just over 300. The banker always wins.

Beer was crap though. Worthington. Went on Guiness all night which was OK.

I'm pulling night time duty with my grandpa who is sick in intensive care.

Playing (quietly) A very innapropriate song that has just come on pandora. Don't fear the reaper by the blue Oyster cult.

In fairness it's a cracking little tune...

Bad day, I feel stress and preassure. I give up an important course and I am very

regretful. Oh my God!
