Milan Not Happy

The more time goes on the more bemused I get by the near messiah like status Allen seems to have gained in the eyes of a big chunk of the City support. All he did was post some messages on the website, messages which may have been a good PR exercise but in no way whatsoever provided any indication of his competency or otherwise as a manager. The current manager (and future ones) should note that on this evidence, the hearts of the Leicester faithful are easily bought.

I was shocked when he got the old heave ho so soon, but these things are done for a reason.

Of course they are. The question is whether you agree with the reason/s.

The reasons haven't been made public, so it's a bit difficult for most people to form an opinion of any sort, let alone opinions as strong as some of those voiced on here

To be fair, I think the reason Martin was liked so quickly was that in addition to what you mentioned, he got the players looking like they were up for it, something which we have only seen on the big occasions in recent years. Clearly many of us are dissapointed that things have been shaken up again so soon, and fear that this passion may be lost.

For me, this is less about Allen himself and more about lost enthusiasm which had just started to build. Megson somehow seems a let down on the enthusiasm front. That said, enthusiasm doesn't make a good manager or a promotion campagin, so I will support Megson who I might well have been happy to see appointed back in the summer.

I still think Milan has made himself look foolish by commenting on this issue at all, others clearly disagree. Personally I wouldn't have chanted for Allen, pointless waste of time, but others have every right to if they choose.

I am perfectly happy that I know a good many of the reasons.

The same person who's sacked three managers in six months, thus scaring off most if not all would-be applicants in possession of any integrity or quality?

Seeing you preach about integrity and quality?

I think I've seen it all.

I don't disagree with this. I was certainly caught up in the excitement over the summer and that's why I was very disappointed when I heard the news about Allen's departure, and it's hardly what anyone would want to hear after a few weeks of the season. When I took a step back back though and popped me old rational hat on my head though, I couldn't really get that excited about it. The previous three months had been a great PR exercise, but in terms of substance I thought there was some lacking. The Watford game aside, I couldn't really see a massive change in what was happening on the pitch

Ok, Detective!!! :D

Do you know something the public don't????

As there are no official reasons I really don't know. I certainly believe what I've been told but it is only hearsay and there is no reason for anyone else to believe it.

Exactly.

I don't think there are "official" reasons.

Make your mind up.

I'm in the same boat. Does your info have an Allen or a City bias? Mine has the latter, but I've no reason to doubt it and it fits in pretty well with what's been said publicly and what I've seen with me own eyes

One thing is for sure, Thracian knows nothing (as usual) and is blowing smoke (as usual) and the less attention he receives, the sooner he will go away.

So I'm imploring you, don't go all silly over him asking him for his 'special' information.

There is none, ok?

You're completely right of course. 'Special' information is useless anyway. If it really is special then you cannot do anything with it, and you just get frustrated whilst rumour and conjecture run away with themselves.

Mind you, rumour and conjecture is half the fun of being a footie fan, innit?

I know what I know and I'm not saying who told me or what it was.

At the end of the day knowledge is like a lady: you can take her out, get her drunk and squeeze her tits but if her Father turns up unexpectedly you'll be stretched to find a good reason to avoid a panning.

Thinking about it, knowledge isn't much like that at all.

Maybe it's more like cheese.

I can completely understand Milan being P**sed off by a section of the fans for their actions.

I am not saying I am condoning him voicing his opinions, but I do agree with him.

Was it not the same fans who were chanting O'Neill out, an action he did not forget or forgive.

I have supported City for over 40 years, during that time have seen managers supported and hounded out.

It's football, a roller coaster ride for all concerned.

What's happened is in the past, forget it, get a life and carry on giving our club and all it's employees the support they deserve from loyal fans.

As a season ticket holder that's just what I have always done.

Milan obviously has very little patience with these so called "fans". However, maybe he should have just given them the benefit of the doubt after all we all make mistakes don't we.

Don McKay

Lou Furillo (sp?)

Martin Allen + 5 or so helpers

Sacking Mike Stowell

I dont think he has said he wants them banned from the club, just that they shouldn't be singing for an ex-manager when the focus should be on a big local cup game! Of course Milan has made some mega mistakes so far but he has just made decisions and moved on. The problem with some of our fans at times is that we cant move on. Whether its calling to re-sign Neil Lennon or going on about some other ex-players or managers, some simply dont know when to stop and look for the future.
