lcfc_jme Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 Unconfirmed reports that Mourinho has either been sacked or has left after losing patience with the club (probably Abramovich). Now obviously if this is dismissed by the time I wake up, I'll look a complete tit, but it was breaking news just before I went sleep so I thought I'd share it! Ludicrous!!
Bert Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 Did NOT see this coming. Is Abramovic, Mandaric mark two??
lookwhaticando Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 Believe it when I see it (tomorrow morning if it's true, no doubt).
Ryanside Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 crazy stuff. now will martin jol be getting the boot sooner rather than later....
Unabomber Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 I wonder who they will get that can top what he has achieved. A yes man I assume
Ultra Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 crazy stuff. now will martin jol be getting the boot sooner rather than later.... I wonder who had a bet on Mourinho being the first Premier League manager to leave his post...
Mort Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 I wonder who they will get that can top what he has achieved. Someone who will play Ballack ad Sheva without question week in week out and be happy to make crazy bids for players like Ronaldinho or Villa I expect.
Lillehamring Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 such is the power of norwegian football - rosenborg shamed them into this... the headlines after that game were 'chelsea stinket'.... see! i like, their made up nick name for him in the first paragraph oh happy days... what odds a dennis wise/gus poyet chelsea management comeback...!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 oh happy days...what odds a dennis wise/gus poyet chelsea management comeback...!
hairy Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Disappointed at that. No more post match interview laughs. Where is the comedy in football now!
Wycombe Fox Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Who? Never heard of this bloke; http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...sea/7004083.stm
James. Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Who? Never heard of this bloke;http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...sea/7004083.stm "Close friend of Abramovich". Oh really. The longer the Russian is at Chelsea the more I grow to dislike and despair at everything that club now stands for. It's a joke and it's not good for the game.
l444ry Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 This madness is the price the game has to pay for the influx of rich men using football as their playthings. Abramovich is a first class pillock. Whilst the finances may have changed in football the basis for a successful side hasn't. A good, strong manager with overall control is still the pre-requisite. Ferguson, Wenger and Benitez have demonstrated this. Chelsea did until Abramovich started meddling. Martin O'Neill proved it at Leicester's level. Wouldn't it be nice if meddling Mandaric understood this?

Are we any different now, just a bit less money!
James. Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Are we any different now, just a bit less money! I would argue that Mandaric has a passion and understanding for the game while Abramovich hasn't got a fucking clue.
Karlos Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Abramovich doesn't know anything about transfers, at least we've seen MM look at the signings for City i.e. JFH. I think chelsea will struggle for top 4 this year now!
Raj Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 If ever a club is at the mercy of one man,it's Chelsea. IF Abramovich decided he's had enough of hiding in the UK using football as his alleged business, and decides to pull out and enjoy his 'well earned and all legally aquired' billions...Chelsea would be well and truely Fcuked!!!! With players on over 100,000 a WEEK...who would want to come in and help finance that??? This could(hopefully!) be the begining of a downward spiral!!
Micky Ruddle Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 All because of Red Rom being a mug. Feel sorry for the bloke. He done a good job there. Good luck to the next bloke to get the job there
