Yep fantastic manager. Trophies coming out his ears and his win percentage was sky high too.

I think he should pick 4 from his list, then let them manage on a rotation system, best one overall at the end of the season gets the job.

Why is this bad news, We could do a lot worse. Like Norwich :D

Do you seriously want him in???

I live right close to the Walkers... I take a trip down there just for a walk every day nearly... I'll hang around a bit more there and see who I can get a glimps of coming or going at the Walkers! ;)

According to BBC WM the rumour is that Leicester have approached Wolves for permission to speak to Mick McCarthy.

Not sure how true it is but i cant see him leaving us to go to you guys unless he feels unwanted by our new owner.

Hmm... not sure about that... why would he leave Wolves for us? :dunno:

Surely Wolves have a better chance of going up than us.

Spoilt for choice, really. :D

Jewell has always been my preferred choice, but it's probably less likely now than it was in the summer... and then just after the summer... he might give in eventually, perhaps.

Joe Royle wouldn't be wholly unpleasant... I wouldn't be against him being appointed. Although at this point, I think I just want someone to be appointed. Continually being without a manager - while entertaining - isn't conducive to a good season, I reckon. :ermm:

Micky Adams was at the game last night.

Although I suspect that probably has more to do with us playing Colchester at the weekend than anything to do with our manager's position (although I for one would happily take him back).

My god there's two of them on the forum! :o

;)

Someone sell me Joe Royle. What's he all about? Don't his teams play with gay abandon, scoring willy nilly?

His isn't a name that makes me vomit, unlike Reid or O'Leary. That's gotta count for something. :)

Hi I presume you're back home, hope the journey was incident free - great to meet you and the others. :D

You need to wade through this

I'm home, nice and safe. Thanks!

Was great to meet you, too. Nice to put a couple of faces to names (and names to usernames, even). :D

As for wading... I'm putting my wellies on as we speak. :P

It's a bit odd, we've not had anything on the BBC rumours page for a few days now. Maybe Milan is just getting on with the job?

Or the tabloids are bored of us already this season.

I mean... all they need to do is reprint some copies of their papers from seven weeks ago and they've pretty much got it covered. :D

Here's the scenario,Tags and Flat cap get the gig after we scrape a win at Colchester on Saturday! Milan pockets £300K compo (nice little earner) it takes until the end of the year before he realises they are not the dream ticket  then has to get a new man in January  the new govnor misses the transfer window by a couple of days :frusty: and is thereafter free to blame the squad for any results that go against him until the end of the season and we finish below mid table :@ finally we get lots of promisis that things will be better in 2008/9

I don't know if anyone else has said this, I can't be arsed to read 28 pages but can't think of a single manager who we might get who I'd want.Tbh I'd rather let Burrow and Tags have the gig than any of the dead beats we've been linked with. :(
