Phube Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 Were 2-0 up at home with 10 minutes to go and what happens... Half the bloody stadium decides to leave??? WHY????!!! I'm sure a greater percentage of Barnsley fans stayed until the end than ours!!! It's ridiculous, just to get home 10 minutes earlier!!!

Monk Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 I actually left on 91 mins today, purely because at the last game it took my dad and I an hour to get out of Filbert St car park. But today was fine leaving a bit early. But in general never leave early and the many people who did are a tad annoying. I was surrounded by people who just were not interested today.
Jordan Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 ...half the crowd did not want to see the lead evaporate? ...
Phube Posted 27 October 2007 Author Posted 27 October 2007 Didn't you get a free ticket today? No, but they cost £10, instead of £23! But leaving early... I just can't understand it.. at all... I've done it once in my life, and that was only because the last train left at 10pm... it was the City-Fulham League cup game (3-3 & penalties). Had to leave at 3-2 and heard Gerry's goal as we walked out of the ground... Didn't know we'd won on penalties until we got back to the house!!
Maybes Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 I was singing "Loyal Supporters" at them. Prats. Just becuase they leave early it doesn't make them unloyal.
Trumpet Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 Upperton Road anyone? Perhaps none of you use the bridge, but its the way ive always came to football and now you have to go half way to town to get round it. Don't blame em, i didnt leave early, i didnt have to, but people may have had reasons, or just didnt want to sit in traffic.
Southern Fox Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 Hi Guys, Just to chuck my hat in the ring. I generally leave with 5minutes to go. The reason for that is that I live 2.5/3 hours away and if I leave them I can get out of the backroads and on with my journey home. If I leave at full time it takes me at least 45mins to get out of the City. As you can imagine - I have the choice of watch the final 5mins or be an hour already an hour down the motorway home. if I have nothing on Saturday night or its a tight one I sometimes bite the bullet - but very rarely. Its nothing about disloyal - as the team and club have had their fair share of me as a fan over the years.
shrood Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 I don't think you should jump to assumptions. As SF said, I drive almost 3 hours to get to home games so queuing for bloody ages to get out of the city isn't something I want to do on top of that.

If you choose where in the ground you sit, and its also ear an exit it gives you a huge head start over everyone else
Phlashman Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 Yeah, it's shocking, if you want to get home early why not stay there and listen on the radio?
Maybes Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 Barnsley racial chanting was a disgrace! I agree. Bunch of w*nkers!
Toby or not Toby Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 Barnsley racial chanting was a disgrace! What were they singing? i couldn't understand them
Maybes Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 What were they singing? i couldn't understand them The were on about how they are proud to be "english"
samingram_uk Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 They were really hard to understand, what was that 'scabs' thing all about?
ronnup Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 Yeah, it's shocking, if you want to get home early why not stay there and listen on the radio? don't be a complete tit. He's paying to watch your club. did you see the second half? I stayed till the end but should'vr gone home at half time.
WetFlannel Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 i had to sprint all the way to the train station having to catch a train so i therefore left 10 mins early on last game of the season and thats the most time ive ever missed, i suppose a few of them had valid excuses though
shilton_er Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 They were really hard to understand, what was that 'scabs' thing all about? Miners Strike Mate, Leicester & Notts pits refused to strike, therefore feelings still run very high in the North of England, Remember it must have been hard to see your livelyhood get booted into touch by that cow Thatcher
Nod.E Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 I thought it was non-sencical! Its not very often you see Leicester win at home so enjoy the full 90 minutes of winning a game while its here!
