izzetafox? Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 i would call it pointing out the facts I have read all the posts on this thread over the past few days and actually found them highly hillarious and not felt compelled to reply to any, however yours got me, let me ask you this, have you ever been to Leicestershire?, while the City is like most medium sized English Citys the countryside that surronds it is some of the most beatifull countryside in England, ok we havnt got the sea, i only wish we were blessed with that as i am a surfer and love to get down to Devon to surf, but as i say the country side and the little villiages speak for themselves! As for the football, Leicester fans have had to endure dire football for too long now, we have forgotten what it is to support a winning team, can you blame us for clinging on to times gone by?, But it just shows you that we get 20+ thousand each home game, when we never win at home, our fans deserve a medal....that shows you what a potentially big club we are... thankyou!
Fox in a Box Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 We've had our fair share of managers leaving for so called 'bigger clubs' Brian Little, Mark 'fatty' Magee, MON and only MON really has done something with a bigger club.. It's a part of football that managers move on or get sacked nothings going to change that. Sturrock would suit PA and we will see how long the MM - IH partnership lasts...
Fez of Mahrez Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 It's not about staying up with us, not reaching the play offs or finishing in the top 10 will be a dissapointmet. Relegation isn't an issue since our first time in this league.Us a nothing club? you havent got a clue. All Leicester have is history and potential. That's the quote of the year.
Pilgrim_Youth Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 I have already said I would have done the same as Holloway, im not disputing that! BUT i wouldnt have over exaggerated quite so much as him about his passion for the club and place etc. Other managfers big up the club but no one as much as he has, no one. There was no need. Im not biiter, I'd rather have Sturrock.

Ric Flair Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 That's the quote of the year. Unreal, isn't it? A compliment instead of an insult of the highest order.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Unreal, isn't it?A compliment instead of an insult of the highest order. I love it. It's effectively saying that we are the worst we've ever been and that the only way is up. Which would be the view of the most optimistic Leicester fan I suppose. Fantastic.
Pilgrim_Youth Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Yeah thats the thing that worries me about ollie going to Leicester, taking our players for nothing, because of the contract situations.
Jimmy Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Yeah thats the thing that worries me about ollie going to Leicester, taking our players for nothing, because of the contract situations. Ollie will be shopping at higher levels then Plymouth mate
oggie Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 That's the quote of the year. On the contrary, that of Post 273 is!
southerner Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Ollie will be shopping at higher levels then Plymouth mate So you're going to appoint a manager from that level instead
Pilgrim_Youth Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 You havent got a clue mate, it would do your club good to have some of our players, who are solid championship players in that.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 You havent got a clue mate, it would do your club good to have some of our players, who are solid championship players in that. Yes, it probabley would, and guess what. We have the money to buy them, so I'd be worried!
Pilgrim_Youth Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 You dont need the money, so of them are available fo nothing come the end of the season. And Ollie knows all of them. I don't know if he would do it to us though. I wouldn't put it past him.
Ric Flair Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Yeah thats the thing that worries me about ollie going to Leicester, taking our players for nothing, because of the contract situations. Who are the one's out of contract?
southerner Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Dunno bout the rest of the argyle fans on here but i'm so looking forward to feb 9th now. Ollie and the leicester fans are going to see what real support is all about
Bert Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 It happens everytime a manager goes from one club to another (well mopre times than not) that he's going to bring in a player from his old club, who he knows well, and that performs well for him.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Who are the one's out of contract? Basicaly everyone bar Halmosi, Gosling, and probabley Easter if they sign him.
Alexikokopops Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Dunno bout the rest of the argyle fans on here but i'm so looking forward to feb 9th now. Ollie and the leicester fans are going to see what real support is all about I hope it's better than your support at the 0-0 earlier this season. Hark at me going on about poor support, we're not exactly tearing up any trees down our way.
Ric Flair Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Basicaly everyone bar Halmosi, Gosling, and probabley Easter if they sign him. Is Wayne Winston Norris out of contract and Ebanks-Blake? Paul Wotton? Marcel Siep?
mancunianfox Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Dunno bout the rest of the argyle fans on here but i'm so looking forward to feb 9th now. Ollie and the leicester fans are going to see what real support is all about Bring 6,000 down if you want. The ticket sales will go nicely towards your players' signing on fees.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Is Wayne Winston Norris out of contract and Ebanks-Blake? Paul Wotton? Marcel Siep? Very sure Wotton is, pretty sure Ebanks-Blake is, Pretty sure Siep is, I actually dunno about Norris he might have longer. They have loads of players whos deals up at the end of the season.
Pilgrim_Youth Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 I know that Romain Larrieu, Paul Connolly, Matt Doumbe, Lilian Nalis are and i think it's also Paul Wotton and Nick Chadwick too. There might be a few more. I wouldn't want to lose Doumbe, Connolly, Nalis or Wotton. Not bothered about the others.
Pilgrim_Youth Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Definately not Norris, possibly Ebanks Blake.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Is Wayne Winston Norris out of contract and Ebanks-Blake? Paul Wotton? Marcel Siep? Sorry Ebanks Blake is up next season (and Seip ).
