Holloway was my preferred man from that "domestics" list

I'm a happy Fox this morning :D

I just hope we get him in before Friday

Plymouth will accept the compo cash quick smart if they know what's good for them...

You don't think it's good? I always thought it was

I am sorry to say are away support is pretty poor :cry:

Sorry i dont quite get how we would be in league one without him? Also you would not have stood a chance of signing holloway without Milan who is prepared to pay him £400,000 a year!! Yeah as you said we dont have the biggest fan base which does make you a bigger club in that sense but in my Opinion we do have probebly the best away support in the league although i dont really have much to compare it to as not many fans travel down to plymouth

Look i hope you have good luck with holloway and do well except when you play us. Im over holloway leaving now, time to steal someone elses manager :giggle:

Yes it is about money unfortunately.. last season we were skint, now we have a "Daddy Warbucks" - it's the same with Chelski - would Drogba, Essien et al have gone without money but fair point. You probably will put him on gardening leave now, but if he's resigned already, I don't suppose you can do that??

I'm only 17 and I think I have more constructive things to say than a lot of you. You say your a bigger club, which i agree with, but only just. At the end of the day, we were playing in the old Division three not so long back, weren't you in the premiership then? I'm not sure. in the mean time weve jumped up two leagues and are on the verge of the play off places and you are in 17th place in the championship. If you're such a bigger club then why are you so low down in the table? Even with uncertainty with managers, you should still have a team good enough ( with your 'huge spending power') to be at least top half. The population of plymouth is 250-300k, whats Leicesters population? I cant see you going up to the prem any time soon, because Manadaric wont be able to get any manager anywhere near as good as Harry Redknapp, who got Pompey up (under MIlan). It might sound naive but I could name a lot of the playing squads from the 'big' clubs in the Championship but i couldn't name many of Leicester's. You've had the money, but you havent done much with it in terms of results and league positions on the pitch in my opinion.

Anyway, im not particularly bothered about Ollie leaving. Yes he was a good manager, but he could be replaced by an equally good manager in Paul Sturrock, who i think is the only man who could get most of our decent players to sign new contracts. He performed miracles down here, evryone loves him. With similar results to Holloway's he have the crowds up. The only thing I'm worried about is if Ollie takes our best players up to leicester with him for nothing. I can see it happening though, why wouldnt he? I would if i was in his position. Sturrock gets teams promoted, I think we'll have a better, more tactically astute manager in him. Ollie is shooting himself in the foot. He says he dislikes these chairmen who don't give managers a chance, he always moans about it, and he's decided to work for arguably the worst chairman for that. Out of revenge I hope that either we keep his contract running, Mandaric gets pissed off, hires some other average manager and then Ollie is left unemployed. And when we have dumped Ollie in the shit, we are sitting happily high up in the table with sturrock at the helm. It's not because he left us for a slightly bigger club, it's because he over exaggerated to such extremes how much the club, people and area meant to him. We would respect him if he left without giving us all that bullshit. However if I was in his position I wouldn't have talked all that crap, I would have moved to the ever so slightly bigger, hugely underachieving, club with dignity, unlike Mr. Holloway.

Thankyou and goodnight.

So, if we're only just a bit bigger club than you, we're still bigger.

We're 17th because of the team not because of the club. Two different things there matey.

Other than that, it's a fairly decent post.

You lot make it out as though your a lot bigger than us. Ok then so if you've got a bad team but your a big club, surely the size of the club and financial might can improve the tam with transfers? Your team should be better if your that big a club. That midfielder you signed from Birmingham is probably the best signing you've made in years, I cant remember his name now.

This has been discussed a million times already.

To answer a few of your questions : Leicester overall population is 440k, yours 250k. Why does this matter?

Leicester are a bigger club because: Bigger, better ground

Better facilities

More financial clout

Won trophies, been in the Prem

Along with i think 8 other teams, have never been outside the Championship.

We have established that Plymouth are a bigger club because: You wear green, not blue like everyone else

You have a unique name (Argyle)

You have never been in the top level, whereas we have,so our force is spent?!

And as for players, i could'nt name any of you're squad apart from Norris, Aljofree and Ebanks-Blake. Oh and Nalis

You never heard of Marton Fulop, former Tottenham keeper and onloan from Sunderland?

How about James Chambers, 3 times promotion winne rat this level?

Bruno N'Gotty, former AC milan defender?

Dutch international striker Collins John, on loan from Fulham?

Former 7million pound striker Carl Cort?

How about last seasons promotion winning captain and fans player of the year Stephen Clemence.

You might have heard of Matty Fryatt and Iain Hume, plucked from teams from Argyles real level, league 1.

If not, i say YOU are a liar mate.

EDIT: to the above post. The reason we have been shit over the last few seasons (even with relatively reasonable players), is because we have had God awful managers running the show. Simple as.

Thats because we are. What have you ever done? Have you even broke the £1m transfer fee yet?

Clemence would be the one you're looking for.

also on the population thing, Plymouth is a 1 sport city so the 250k population is focused on football, where as Leicester is a 3 Sport City meaning the 400k(ish) population is split between Football, Rugby (1 of the best teams in Europe) and Cricket, so to have the fan base we have is an even bigger achievement, also you are getting LESS fans then us turning up for your home games despite the fact your 10 places ahead of us in the current league, that alone means we are bigger then you

I know this is a bit off topic (like it has ever mattered on here lol) but is Plymouth really such a shit hole? I always thought it was a decent place?

but back on track still glad we got Holloway off them!

Getting Holloway leaves me in two minds really - the problem is that as a manager I reckon he's rather good, but after all the stuff he's just come out with about loving Plymouth etc., it does leave a bit of disappointment really, as he seemed to be a refreshing thing - someone in football who was happy where he was and would be straightforward and honest. Also, after the comments he's made it seems rather bizarre. So, I dunno - if Plymouth had got rid, I'd have been really chuffed with getting him in, but as it is, I get the feeling it may well all end in some sort of sequel to the whole Martin Allen thing.

Have you even broke the £1m transfer fee yet?

Peter Halmosi, £400,000 I think. Still, who needs to spend millions if you can get good players like that for a quarter of a DJ Campbell.

Lots of teams go through spells of having a bad team, would you say man city, leeds and forest aren't big clubs?

The team is due to having made a bad choice of manager, not due to being a small club.

If you look at it terms of average gate we are twice as big as you.
