Ric Flair Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 Awesome mate, will download it tonight when back home. Cheers. Actually we've just split up quite acrimoniously so I'd wish him luck and hope he gives her an STI. Well that's just great, it's ruined my gag!! Sorry to hear that Fez.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 Well that's just great, it's ruined my gag!! Sorry to hear that Fez. Cracking gag mate. And don't worry, lucky escape. She was a Megson, now I'm looking for a Holloway.
davieG Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 In all probability your last few words sum up the situation precisely which means we can only hope we get the "enlightened" Holloway instead of the hoof-ball Holloway.Hullfox hopes and believes we'll get a team full of hard-cases so it doesn't sound as if I'm likely to get anything to appreciate for a few months at least but we'll see. If he gets hard-cases who can play a bit that might make a change. Like everyone else he starts with a clean slate and my best wishes. I'd gladly accept a Coatsworth or two after what we've been through!
Manwell Pablo Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 Cracking gag mate. And don't worry, lucky escape. She was a Megson, now I'm looking for a Holloway. I do hope thats not a pubic hair euphemism.

Did some Northern Builder in a vest turn her head on a night out in Leeds and he's ended up flicking you a twenty spot for your troubles as compensation? If so, that's fantastic haggling, young man.

She didn't accuse previous boyfriends of bad mouthing her to prospective new partners did she? Which led to an 18 month exile from the dating business until you came along? On me Megson!
Master Fox Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 I wonder if Milan ever returned Steve Walsh's phone calls? Guess we'll find out tomorrow on another addition of Barbs & Steve’s live radio football broadcast spectacular.
Greenwalker Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 linkI assume the compo must have been at least £400k+ to get Ollie "released" so quick....... We have got £250k in compo, bit of a shame really as i feel we could have got £400k Sounds like it was a good news conference. You will never and i repeat never get board of his jokes...

He did still feel like he had some love for your club.

Honestly the man IMO is a hypocrite. Im not bitter at all this is just my opion about him. I along with many other fans dont blame the man for leaving the club its just the way he denied having any link with leicester at all. I do however wish holloway the best of luck as he did bring plymouth many good memories and has improved the standard of football alot.

That was days before anything looked like it would happen.

Yeah but(Vicky Pollard that is!!!0 surely that is the way things are done nowadays. You cant go around spouting that you are in talks with this club and that chairman.... Good luck anyway
Greenwalker Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 When he denied it how do you know there had been contact? That was days before anything looked like it would happen. From the Guardian's teatime football email, The Fiver... QUOTE OF THE DAY "Ask anybody who knows me how I feel about Plymouth Argyle and they'll tell you the truth. If you need me to say it again, I'm in love with the place. It's absolutely magnificent" - Ian Holloway on November 12. "I just didn't think my heart was in it once I heard Leicester were interested. It's a whole new role for me and it's something that I don't feel I could turn down. I have worked hard for 11 years and I have always been the bridesmaid, never the bride, to this type of thing" - Ian Holloway, upon hearing he'd have his salary doubled at the Walkers Stadium, today.
Greenwalker Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 That doesnt back up my statement but i cant be asked to look around PASOTI for the thread that the quotes were in.

Joe. Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 There's still no doubt in my mind that Holloway really did love everything about Plymouth, but when an offer comes along like he got it's not very often that you'd turn it down.
Master Fox Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 Plymouth are lame. Nobody gives a shit about Plymouth or their fans.
Babylon Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 That doesnt back up my statement but i cant be asked to look around PASOTI for the thread that the quotes were in. His quotes about knowing nothing about it were a good week before anything happened. There is no quote you could bring out that can prove he did or didn't know about any interest. So to hate him for that reason seems a bit pointless as nobody except him his agent and Milan would know. Remember when he denied it your chairman also denied having any contact with us. When we did contact your board they told IH, he missed training, asked to go to the interview, it was denied and he quit. I can understand people being annoyed at losing him your end, but the hate people now have really amazes me. Just because he left doesn't mean he didn't mean what he said about Plymouth, but he can't be there for ever and he sees this for what it is... a big opportunity.
Raj Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 Plymouth are lame. Nobody gives a shit about Plymouth or their fans. Master Fox does not speak for the majority of clean living, reasonable, working class folk of Great Britain. Although some may say he has a point...
Manwell Pablo Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 That is all true, but you can't deny the hypocrisey of the situation.
Raj Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 Anyone would do the same thing in his situation. Along comes a Millionaire Serb.. "Hello young Ian.... care to join Leicester City where we have a beautiful stadium, not full very often but it looks nice. You can also waste loads of my money on crap players who can earn good money in the reserves. But we have the potential to rather well if we are lucky... Oh i'll double your wages an all!!!!

Yes we all know this, it's the I love Plymouth speech before hand, not necessary. Any way water under the bridge I'm not a Plymouth fan, I don't care.
