FilboFox Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 Matt Taylor from Portsmouth has just been told he can go... he's a pretty damn good player and I'm sure he would bolster a sometimes frail midfield.
brookfox Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 Matt Taylor from Portsmouth has just been told he can go... he's a pretty damn good player and I'm sure he would bolster a sometimes frail midfield. Please tell me you're joking...

Redknapp said he can go if they recieve a big offer, I can't see us paying the £5m plus hey are probably after!!!
jimthemofo Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 Deividas Cesnauskis - Hearts would be a great addition to the squad um, no thanks, got players from the scottish league before, they were at best terrible, and he's crap
Geo V Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 Matt Taylor from Portsmouth has just been told he can go... he's a pretty damn good player and I'm sure he would bolster a sometimes frail midfield. I can see him at Newcastle or someone like that. Unfortunately he wont go on loan to a Championship club if he leaves but must command a tranfee fee of over £6-7m?? So we have no chance!

Tommy G Posted 6 December 2007 Author Posted 6 December 2007 Imagine if we had this team!! Fulop Chambers Kisnorbo Mcauley Sheehan Richard Hughes Teymourian Clemence Oster David Connolly David Nugent With Eagles, Danns, John, Mifsud, Ebanks-Blake on the bench. If we can get four or five of these players, there is no reason that with the solid defence we already have, we can create and score goals and make a push for the play-offs. Milan needs to put his money where his mouth is and try hard to get players of this calibre. Your in dreamland with that team mate!!!

dpjfox Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 Not been linked to Whelan since Ollie arrived Norris maybe
lee7 Posted 9 December 2007 Posted 9 December 2007 stern john, ricardo fuller, neil danns, richard chaplow, rory delap, peter halmosi, akos buszaky. 4 or 5 of these would strengthen our team a lot.
Staf Posted 9 December 2007 Posted 9 December 2007 Steve Howard is being linked with us in the people
lee7 Posted 9 December 2007 Posted 9 December 2007 matthew taylor wants to move from portsmouth because he can't get a first team game. he'd be good if we could get him.
Staf Posted 9 December 2007 Posted 9 December 2007 matthew taylor wants to move from portsmouth because he can't get a first team game. he'd be good if we could get him. Like someone said he is about 6 million
lee7 Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Like someone said he is about 6 million we wont be getting him then.
Linekaaaah Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 we wont be getting him then. Hmmm... I'm sure we could stump up the cash, but after flogging enough players to raise the £6m, the team would be left pretty much like this: 1: Douglas 2: 3: 4: 5: 6: 7: 8: Taylor 9: 10: 11: Subs: de Vries
Bluemoon Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Deividas Cesnauskis - Hearts would be a great addition to the squad keogh would be my no 1 target. Put your hands in your pocket for the right reason Milan
The People's Hero Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Flash some cash at Burnley and bring in Kyle Lafferty. Big, strong, athletic, very very fit, box-to-box, good distribution and scores his fair share. Any thoughts?

Any thoughts? Surely he'll head for the Prem. Fulham already had couple of bids turned down....
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Flash some cash at Burnley and bring in Kyle Lafferty.Big, strong, athletic, very very fit, box-to-box, good distribution and scores his fair share. Any thoughts? Way, way out of our league mate.
The People's Hero Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Way, way out of our league mate. That's the sort of thinking that limits what we can do though. If Milan has genuine Premiership aspirations we need at least a couple of players who have experience at this level and some sort of engine left in them. Not a dig at you anyway mate - just born out of frustration.

Not a dig at you anyway mate - just born out of frustration. Well, possibly... but you're describing N'Gotty, Clemence and Campbell. Burnley have turned down multi-million pounds bids from Celtic for Lafferty and he's had interest from the Premiership. Like it or not, at the moment we are a worse proposition than Burnley. He's just not a realistic target in the slightest. Sorry mate. Back to the drawing board.
