Jimmy Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Man City youngster i think. he is, also he's a cousin of Dean Sturidge i think
mancunianfox Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Daniel Sturridge is highly rated at City and most thought he would have pushed into the first team this season. A fast and physical striker. Sven's arrival has halted that though. He's only 18 and I wouldn't mind him here if he were available on loan.
Blue Bob Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 First priority sign Fulop - he is the best keeper we have had in ages and would be daft to lose him to another club. I think we are ok in defence as we have only leaked 12 goals this season. Our main issue has been creating chances and scoring goals so we should concentrate on cover for the central midfield, left and right winger and a striker.
Jonezy Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Yep - Fulop must be 1st priority. Then we need a left back, as Mattock will have to much pressure on his young shoulders if he is the only one around. Sheehan must play left midfield with those crosses and setpieces. Dont know if Hayes can step up and rotate with Sheehan in left midfield or else we need a left winger as well. We really could do with a right winger as well, unless Kaebi suddenly lives up to his reputation, and some cover in centre mid, as Weso is the Leicester answer to Michael Owen when it comes to injury proneness. We are okey on right back, centre back and the striker positions at the moment, but will need strengthening when the other areas have been done with.
Super Arj Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 decent attacking midfeilder Jobie Mcanuff wil do
Tevez Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Ebanks Blake Scott Sinclair Neil Danns Damien Johnson
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 i'd be suprised if he didnt try and sign ebanks-blake he normally takes him everywhere with him Can't remember Ebanks-Blake being anywhere with Holloway apart from Argyle??? I could be wrong !!!
brookfox Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Applying the "you need 2 players in every position" theory I'd go with (in a 4-4-2, understudies in brackets): Fulop (Henderson) Chambers------Kisnorbo------McAuley------Sheehan (Stearman)-----(Kenton)-----(N'Gotty)------(Mattock) Hume-----------New DM-------Clemence-----New LW (New RW)------(Weso)--------(King/New M)---(Hayes) DJ/John--------New ST (DJ/John)------(Fryatt) Sell / give away / turn to glue: MDV Kish Newton Nielsen Cort Hellings Hammond Maybury Douglas For the future / squad: Ashley Chambers Gradel Sappleton Kaebi (for all I know!) Odihambo Porter
Vardinhio Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Can't remember Ebanks-Blake being anywhere with Holloway apart from Argyle??? I could be wrong !!! You're correct. He came through the youth set up at Man Utd and was then signed by Holloway.
Tommy G Posted 27 November 2007 Author Posted 27 November 2007 Need a decent right midfilder after newtons shocker last night. Hume is wasted playing there.
eaststandtom Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 I'd say buy to quality wingers, right and left. Defence and keeper are sound, no worries there for me. Centre mid could suffer if clem/weso are out for long periods but there is cover especially with the emerging king who looks like he could be a quality kid. We must have about 165 strikers on our books at the minute. Get rid of De Vries & Hammond and perhaps buy another big target man thats actually decent, unlike De Vries. With those additions and letting a few tag - a -longs go could prove to be pivitol if we still wan't to push for promotion this season. any ideas? Oh and a LB perhaps if Mattock goes, thats doubtful however fingers crossed. one each down the middle fulop new striker. new midfielder to keep weso and clemence on their toes and challenge them for their place. competition encourages higher standards. new centre half with pace.
Manwell Pablo Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Can't remember Ebanks-Blake being anywhere with Holloway apart from Argyle??? I could be wrong !!! He's a united youngster isn't he? went straight from Man u to Plymouth.
Ric Flair Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 He's a united youngster isn't he? went straight from Man u to Plymouth. Correct.
SamL Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Sign up Fulop, it's got to be done.Possibly need another RB, Stearman isn't good enough. Need a LM, Mattock isn't quite good enough for the position yet. Need a RM, it'd allow Hume back up front Need some cover in CM, Clemence/Weso injured we're lost. I agree with that Joe but surely Stearman is good enough back up for Chambers? I think Chambers needs to be tried at RB more because thats where he will be most effective. I think it's definatly a better option than Stearman. 2 decent wingers would be nice and a creative midfielder. Could do with another striker aswell maybe.

Trav Le Bleu Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 Close the thread Aye, following recent events the only likely transfers in January will be outward. On the bright side, a chance to trim some deadwood!

Ric Flair Posted 30 November 2007 Posted 30 November 2007 Mattias Lindstrom is available, played against Spurs last night. Leaving the club in Jan, looks half decent right midfielder.
Solihullfox Posted 30 November 2007 Posted 30 November 2007 what about misfud from cov? They are about to be saved and will not need to sell any players they want to keep one of which I'm sure will be Mifsud.
