MPH Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 Its crazy to think we have at least 6 players who can play Right Back for Leicester. I have heard some say stearman is a liability now... But who should play? Should we stick with Stearman?
WetFlannel Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 dont think stearmen is as bad as hes made out *prepares for abuse*, but would be chambers anyday
Simi Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 Give Chambers a proper run in his favoured position. Hardly rocket science to be honest. Anyone that says Stearman is consistent is a fool. His passing is woeful and awareness when he gets on the ball is laughable.
The Stig Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 Give Chambers a go, if he plays badly Kenton, if he plays badly Maybury, if he plays badly too we can panic.
Dames Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 Chambers. Personally i think Stearman is better suited to being centerback.
Flynny Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 To be honest I'd probably play Chambers, Kenton and Maybury all above Stearman, and I don't even think he deserves half the stick he gets!
Thracian Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 Chambers may be an improvement there but I think the right-back position is the least of our immediate worries.
Nath Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 ANYONE BUT FOOKING STEARMAN. I like the lack of appreciaction he has recieved this week. Maybe people are coming to terms he is persistantly shiyte.
Koke Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 Chambers may be an improvement there but I think the right-back position is the least of our immediate worries. Indeed. We got bigger problems in our hands at the moment. Right now I'd play Chambers RM and let Stearman keep his place.

Koke Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 Did you go to the match today?I would rather have Maybury than Stearman at this present time. I did go. And I'd rather have Kenton in there above them both at the moment. My point is, the right back position is the least of our worries right now.

I bet atleast 7 of the goals we have conceeded this season have come from the right. It showed why today when Stearman won nothing, not even headers against Dyer who is 5 foot 2ish A lot of people saying Fulop was at fault for there 1st.. HOW THE FOOK IS HE? Where was Stearman? He certainly wasn't at the back post preventing that little Dyer from heading the ball back, the smallest player on the pitch, won a header at the back post, in the position Stearman should be in... The header leading to the crucial goal. Now say Fulop was at fault.

He was at fault for letting a 5 foot nothing winger get behind him and head the ball into the box and then Stern John smashed it home. I blame Stearman for that. However, Stearman is part of a defensive unit who has been rather solid so far this season. I'm not defending him for his diabolic performances, but he is not as bad as some people make it out to be. The team carries him, McAuley and Kisnorbo often make up some grown for him. But as I said before, we got bigger problems to sort out first. We can change the RB for the next game, no problem, if Ollie wants to. We got 3 or 4 others RB's who can do a job. Its the goals at the other end and our creativity, or rather lack of, that is ****ing is up badly. Not Richard Stearman.

Quality managers in this league are targeting Stearman as the weak link in our defence. Which he is. Hopefully Ollie will have sussed this out by now and will rest him for the Burnley game.

I am in no way trying to claim Sterman is infact not shit, infact I was looking at getting on his myspace and asking for his wages as I performed better than him, with my arse on a seat. Slate away.©
Staf Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 I would say kenton he is steady and is having a good season
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 December 2007 Posted 1 December 2007 I would say kenton he is steady and is having a good season When I've seen Kenton this season he tends to play really well in the centre of midfield rather than full back (he has really impressed me in the past few weeks though). N'Gotty should be starting in our back four, for either McAuley or Kisnorbo, with Sheehan or Mattock at left-back (more likely to be Sheehan with the emergence of the promising Hayes as a left winger). As for right-back, it has to be Chambers everytime. The man has been consistently punted around the field this season, acting as a utility player when people are injured, something which he does not deserve becasue he is a solid and proven RIGHT-BACK. Stearman's talent needs to be nurtured and developed because the bright youngster we saw a few years ago now only makes cameo appearances, mainly being replaced by some underperforming, weak excuse for a full back.
Daggers Posted 3 December 2007 Posted 3 December 2007 No.It is one of the main worries. I bet atleast 7 of the goals we have conceeded this season have come from the right. No, you are wrong. To say that part of the best defense in the Championship is one of our major problems is deluded in the extreme. Take your blinkers off, stop getting a hard-on for Stearman and open yourself to the possibility that not scoring goals is our biggest problem. Until some of you lot grow up and stop victimising players the team is not going to move forward at home.
