The People's Hero Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 Yeah but they are still spoilt, pathetic whingers who don't know when they've got it good. I acknowledge the booing is a problem - but is this limpwristed plea from Clem going to sort it? Is it fu ck? It's not even a rallying call... more of a 'Excuse me, hope you don't mind awfully me bothering you - you see, I'm rather upset about the booing - and my chum, Carl, he's just unconsolable. Don't expect you chaps to know about hard-work etc, so I know you won't understand, but still, be a diamond and stop with the booing, if that's quite alright'?
Tommy G Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 I hope they read these forums, perhaps it might give 80% of the players a kick up the arse
Dr The Singh Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 If they want to liven up the walkers, then play some good football....entertain....most of all show that you live and die for your shirt or the 16K a week you earn!!!
Master Fox Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 .girlfriend left you? Sort of. Well it's my own fault. I only used her for sex. Bitch
Thracian Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 The noise of fans makes an enormous difference as occasions at the end of last season demonstrated but while fans need galvanising as much as the players they also seem to have their "off" spells. If the club is playing brilliantly enthusiasm comes easy. If the club is fighting for survival in the Championship everyone rallies to the cause however the team is playing and The Great Escape goes out with gusto. But when there's no great focus, when the team's playing indifferently and when the season's dead but no-one's being buried the fans find it just as difficult to rouse themselves as the players. I don't blame Clemence for saying his piece. He's the skipper why shouldn't he? I certainly agree about Cort. It doesn't help that there are so many injuries because good players feel disappointed to be out in constantly weakened teams especially if they've got aspiriations for promotion. And a few of our players, old and new, will be disappointed they've not been surrounded by more good players as was obviously the intention. Factors like that, and having so many inadequate fringe players around the scene each, doubtless with their gripes, won't make for a particularly happy and optimistic camp. Many will already know they're on their way out and that won't help morale. We need to trim our staff, improve our quality and have a squad of players who are will all be assets to the side if needed. That's not the case and you won't develop the team spirit needed while it is.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 I'm convinced a large proportion of our fans actually get a morbid form of enjoyment out of bad individual performances in order to boo certain players.
mancunianfox Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 He's only trying to liven the Walkers up a bit, which is what is needed, instead of hissing and booing all the time. There are reasons for Walkers being a easy place to come and play for the last 4 years and our pathetic boo boy sit down and shut up crowds are one of them. And the players would say that as well if they could do so without causing a up roar. I am convinced of that too. The Walkers is so much more intimidating for the home team than for the away side.
MPH Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 Sort of. Well it's my own fault. I only used her for sex. Bitch Aha! life goes on, mate.
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 I hope they read these forums, perhaps it might give 80% of the players a kick up the arse And do you think coming on here reading about how shit they are is really going to help them. Booing a player who wasn't even fit for the game that he put a poor performance in, when he's hardly had a chance at the club, do you think thats the way to get this team performing. Do any of you actually care whats best for the team, no in short you don't, you feel a bit let down that you've spent £20 on a football ticket and we haven't won, so you boo kick and scream spit the dummy to make yourselves feel better. Let me clear something up, you don't have the right to be entertained because you've paid your entrance fee, football matches are gambles in terms of entertainment they always have been, if you don't like that, don't come.
Master Fox Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 Aha! life goes on, mate. Raping cats is wrong! It's the sort of thing Carl Cort would do.

Funny how you quoted my name isn't it? and not TPH? He was ripping the shit into him aswell Perhaps a bit of criticism towards your bum-boy wouldn't go a miss now and again
Guest Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 I'm convinced a large proportion of our fans actually get a morbid form of enjoyment out of bad individual performances in order to boo certain players. Agreed. The woman who sits next to me chooses a new player each season to aim her vitriol at. It's Clemence this season (not just for the shocker he had last saturday, every game)
Master Fox Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 If they want to liven up the walkers, then play some good football....entertain....most of all show that you live and die for your shirt or the 16K a week you earn!!! They should upgrade from the helicopter landing and try to land a jumbo jet on the pitch this time.

Tommy G Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 They should upgrade from the helicopter landing and try to land a jumbo jet on the pitch this time. an interesting spectacle/impossible!
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 Funny how you quoted my name isn't it? and not TPH?He was ripping the shit into him aswell Perhaps a bit of criticism towards your bum-boy wouldn't go a miss now and again Becuase my first point was a reply to your comments which is what I mainly disagreed with, the rest of it is a general statement aimed at the whole forum not just you. And because he's said something quite different to you and actually said, "I acknowledge the booing is a problem" My first reply was aimed at him anyway, which he acknowledged and replied to. If you want to have a discussion Tom fine but don't start this cry baby victim shit it doesn't become you.
The People's Hero Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 I'm not saying that it's right to boo. I'm saying that the correct reaction of the playing staff would be go get on with it and prove those boo-ing to be fickle idiots. Now the boo-ers know they've been noticed and got to the players, they will probably continue. It's an idiotic approach.
Master Fox Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 This is all bit ‘Bring Back Martin Allen’

I can have my opinion as everyone else can. I just dont buy the fact clemence comes out being the cry baby telling the fans basically to get off the players backs. If the club didnt have the fans then it would be nothing. His performances really have been below par and thats an understatement, so a bit more work on the training pitch instead of prancing about doing interviews is perhaps the better alternative on his behalf
Finnegan Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 Aye aye, very pretty. Now let's see a good performance. We're owed one.
Dr The Singh Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 They should upgrade from the helicopter landing and try to land a jumbo jet on the pitch this time. I was thinking more like make it also a lap dancing place aswell!!!

I agree, ignore the booing and show what you are made of on the pitch that's the only way to win this battle. This just provides more ammo for those that boo.
Master Fox Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 I was thinking more like make it also a lap dancing place aswell!!! What? Like one where it’s ok to touch their boob without getting one in the chops from a pimp?
Dr The Singh Posted 7 December 2007 Posted 7 December 2007 What? Like one where it’s ok to touch their boob without getting one in the chops from a pimp? Touching is extra, and for even more dosh, the conference suites are make shift pimp houses for full on action!!!

Hence the statement The clubs will always have the fans though, his performances in the last three of four games have been under par but this is not a reason to hang him out to dry we know he's a good player, he's career record speaks for itself, we should be backing him, helping to achieve good form instead of knocking him down as much as we possible can. He's the Captin he's abliged to give his views and speak on behalf of the sqaud I'm afraid. Some of what he has said has needed to be said by someone.
