Steve Howard produced the goods last year, Cort last produced the goods about 3 years ago.... that's the point. I know fully where the problem is, and that's exactly why I said... "Depending on who else we get he could be a very good signing". Carl Cort would not have scored as many as Howard, because he'd be out injured for 9 months of the year.

The Sheeps are saying he's one of the better players in their squad (along with Barnes, Earnshaw and Miller) but Billy Davies never played him because he wanted to pack the midfield with battlers.

But i'd expect more from someone with your knowledge. I feel an element of complacency might be setting in here. Standards are indeed slipping, the best you can hope for next season is ‘best fact finder’ at this rate!
