Durnerz Posted 25 December 2007 Posted 25 December 2007 Mine, was absolutly forking scrumptious. As was mine Bertmiester.
Dames Posted 25 December 2007 Posted 25 December 2007 I still feel full now and i ate it at 2 o clock.
Thracian Posted 25 December 2007 Posted 25 December 2007 What with my son being a chef and my wife a keen cook we did get spoilt. Dinner for nine and barely a scrap left. Says it all really. Courses comprising salmon, roast cockerel and traditional Christmas pudding - each prepared and cooked to perfection and washed down with Muscadet de Valencia, Chilean Merlot and Vintage Port were a treat to remember.

cisono Posted 25 December 2007 Posted 25 December 2007 Mine, was absolutly forking scrumptious. About the term... do you mean Christmas lunch? I am asking because in Italy the main Christmas meal is lunch on 25th Dec. However, I believe that the main Christmas meal/celebration in Denmark, Germany, Czech republic and Slovakia it is the evening of 24th Dec. Weird that...
City Fan Posted 25 December 2007 Posted 25 December 2007 Only decent thing about Christmas is dinner. I always get mine piled ridiculously high, have to literally try and balance the great big slabs of Turkey and Pork on the top of the mountain of Yorkshire Puds, Roast Potatoes, Brussels (lots of them) etc.
samingram_uk Posted 25 December 2007 Posted 25 December 2007 My little cousin decided to remove the blankets and go just for the pigs. Has he tryed them with the blankets?? Beacuse he is missing out.

Simi Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 Mine was decent, roast potatoes are godly. Highlight of the day would have to be the coconut Quality Street.
cisono Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 Mine was decent, roast potatoes are godly.Highlight of the day would have to be the coconut Quality Street. Had nice roast potatoes (3, 4? I forget) myself, curried chicken with peppers, some roasted lamb (which I wasn't too keen on), fresh chilli mango pickle which was surprisingly good (though very hot) and rice. Full plate x2 Bread pudding x2 Some chocolate
lookwhaticando Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 Steve Walsh cooked his. He said it was well good. Obviously.
MC Prussian Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 I usually get stuffed on all three Christmas days... 24th is spent at my parents' place, where we indulge ourselves with all kinds of tasty food. Then, the day after that, we normally go see my mother's parents... And - boy - tellya, my graddad used to be a butcher and my granny cooks darn good. Together they make the best and most rich food in town. THEN, thanks to a night of good sleep and devouring, we get to see my dad's parents, where we're treated like kings with deliciously prepared deer. This year was a bit different, though. We scrammed the last third of the programme and invited the other grandparents over. Still, what a treat.
